Three more seasons is the plan. A must for anyone that has not been there.

Train to Moorfields, 20 minute walk - done.

Much better than driving, paying for the tunnel, going up to Stanley Park, parking there at extortionate prices, 15 minute walk, then after the match, having to wait in a massive queue just to get back out on to the road again.

...and this is based on the current infrastructure. Perhaps there will be a closer Merseyrail station by then, to ease congestion at other train stations, and perhaps even a regular ferry service for Wirral Evertonians? Boss.

When/if the final green light for this goes ahead, I'll be buying an apartment near the stadium and will spend footie season living there before repairing back to southern hemisphere climes...I like Winters

Never in a million years did I expect Kenwright to pull a billionaire out of the hat and make dreams a possibility.

We could only have 42 more league games at Goodison maybe 61, with cup games less then 100 games left at Goodison perhaps?

it seems like an amazing deal, that could only be pulled off by the likes of a Moshiri.

but 2 things im not so sure about..

1. What happens at the end of the 40 year "lease" (It has to be owned by us in the end of this deal)

2. The capacity of the stadium. (It has to be 55k+ minimum)

Briefly this is how the deal works:

• Peel are offering a 200 year lease on Bramley Moore to the “funder”
• Everton Football Club are responsible for finding the funder
• The funder will offer a 40 year lease to a Special Purpose Vehicle created by the City Council
• The funder is responsible for all the development costs of the stadium
• The funder offers Everton Football Club a 40 year (less one day) sub lease. At the end of this lease Everton can buy out the remaining 160 years of the lease should we wish to do so
• Everton pay rent to the SVP. This rent covers two elements, the financing costs and a premium paid to the SVP which covers the cost of providing a guarantee from Liverpool City Council. The financing costs are passed onto the funder and the City Council benefit from the guarantee fees.

Probably for a £1 fee as common in real estate contracts.

2. The capacity of the stadium. (It has to be 55k+ minimum)

Agreed. Build it right for the future. Forget all this possible future expansion stuff, which will be a kick in the nuts to do later on.
