New Everton Stadium Discussion

If you can look at the beautiful new ground being built and have negativity you need to question whether you should give Everton up for your sanity.

Its beautiful, its ours and regardless of how much money it generates, what league the football team is in, and how many balloons dele uses, it will never take the shine off an absolute beauty of a ground in the perfect location.

I can't wait to go and boo us to oblivion

Its not something I need to question.

Everton is bad for my mental health.

But anyway.

Lets look forward.

Even with the most optimistic predictions about completion, initial financing, staying up and optimising ordinary seat pricing/use our interest costs on the build will be potentially punitive unless and until we can refinance. The caution of some posters on the initial boost we get, if any, is justified IMO, at least in the shorter term.

The refinancing will play a big role in how much we benefit. I still believe we will come out with a plus but the initial refinancing will be key to how large that figure is. The 2nd refinancing may happen 5-10 years after that and I'd imagine that will be when we get a substantial chunk more to play with.

Of course if we get bought out by a state or very wealthy and backed individual then we may be able to do something a bit better sooner on.

Good post by toffee66, with them expecting 45m per year in matchday which would make it profitable(if its 500m, not if its 800m) to finance even at todays high interest rates. That adds huge value to the club, because the reality is if you can refinance in 3-4 years at a couple percentage points lower you get both a big revenue increase over Goodison while you are paying off the new stadium.

Also good news for those who have questioned how easy it would be to legally change stadium ownerhsip this past week:

"Clubs will also be required to seek regulatory approval for any sale or change of stadium, and fans will be given a greater say in stopping owners changing club names, badges and home shirt colours."

You sure that includes Everton though, probably an exemption about teams in blue & white or beginning with E

Anyone worried that this isn’t finished if we get relegated?

still think we should b/e ok but have to start winning matches we deserved to win. But relegation? We’re prob Heading for L1 ?

They said that hasn't come into force yet, so you can read into that Everton get the full punishment of transfer bans, fines and a points deduction and a day later the new guidance kicks in meaning city just get a stern talking to.

This is the way. Just like the diving ban for Niasse.

Yeah City and Chelsea will be just fine, you can't hurt the fans though Gary, well not the big 6 fans anyway.

Mate of mine had a zoom with the team selling BMD today (and managed to grab a few sneaky pictures of the presentation). @GrandOldTeam if this is a breach of confidentiality please delete, soz!)

As he's already secured 2 seats in 'St Domingos' lounge (7'500 each ffs :drunk:) they are offering addionals in 'village street' before they go on general sale on the 19th of Sept.

The deal for village street is open bar 3 hours pre match and half time, plus a food voucher to use at any one of the street food style outlets throughout the area. (no mention of post match bar), I'll ask him later.

As with all the previous premium offerings so far, you need to sign up for minimum of 3 years and it requires a 20% down payment on year one.

Pricing also attached, if for example you chose a seat in Block 4, that's £131 pounds per game. I'm just not sure I like Everton and beer that much. (Depends how much they plan to chare for the regular seats I suppose.)
