New Everton Stadium

Won't be impressed until they offer cheese on toast somewhere.

Sodexo couldn't do it...

I absolutely LOVE a controversies section on Wikipedia

"In 2014, asylum seekers in County Meath launched a hunger strike over the "unacceptable living standards" in the Aramark-run centre. In 2018, Aramark was forced to apologise after a mother of three from Zimbabwe was refused a slice of bread for her sick child."

"Since 2013, numerous Aramark employees providing food services in Ohio prisons have been fired or otherwise disciplined for inappropriate behavior towards prisoners such as sexual relations, letter writing, and smuggling contraband. At least 204 Aramark employees have been banned from entering Ohio prisons for such violations."
This company seem to specialise in schools, canteens and prisons. I hear they have already recruited a top team for the hospitality suites.

They operate the food/drink facilities at 7 NHL/NBA Arenas and 10 NFL stadia. US sports are light years ahead of everywhere but Spurs in this area. If we get that level of operation (after a few inevitable teething issues as they adapt to UK vs US tastes) then people will really enjoy the stadium/plaza experience and it should be possible to extend it beyond match/event days.

Great news to me.

Most stadia (hospitals schools, prisons, armed forces) in UK use Sodexo (I believe we do currently) or the compass group.

All the same and quite drab.

If you follow footy scran on twitter they post food from stadiums across the world including some in the news article.

Here’s Berlin stadium for example:

Fair well goodison with it flavourless footlong hot dogs in a stale bun (and they always run out of sauce).

Just watched the video about the company who will be looking after the catering side and just a couple of takeaways (sorry, couldn't resist). Firstly there was a mention from someone about how the offer will be to encourage people to get to the ground early and stay AFTER the match (as some of us have suggested earlier). And secondly (this time from one of the Americans) that they will source craft beers, coffees and other products from local companies. I think that is a good move.
