New Everton Stadium Discussion

I went past on the train last night, darkness had fallen. It was fantastic just to see the lights on the cranes towering there on the waterside through the cold evening mist. The place is going to look so forboding when lit up properly.
it will look quite moody with the dark cloud of reality that will permanently hang gloomily over it.

Popped down for a look today.

That big cycle lane on the Dock Road is a massive waste. It could've been used for an extra car lane or even just for a wider pedestrian walkway

It might've been a better idea for a properly segregated trackless tram line to shuttle people to and from town and connect the whole waterfront from Sandhills to Brunswick Dk.

That said the cycle lane is part of a city wide scheme to increase bike usage and the waterfront and North end need that also.

Plenty of room for cars on Regent Road. Makes sense to keep the bikes separate and the cycle lane does get used. With 50k fans walking up along the Dock Road I think they’ll be diverting vehicles anyway on match day.
