Edited from the clubs website:

Work is also continuing to repair the Grade II listed hydraulic tower. Sections of the tower are painstakingly being repaired brick by brick to help ensure the structure remains sound for when the sand compacting process begins in the infilled dock along with ensuring everything is safe for the home games against Lance Armstrong FC.

From that I'm assuming the tv cameras will all be in the west stand side? Unfortunately that means we'll end up with away mutants in the broadcast at times.

Yes, everything has been designed in line with best practice:

When planning the orientation of the pitch, the primary
consideration is its position in relation to the sun and
prevailing wind. In Europe, a north-south orientation is
generally considered best, as it means that, in the evening,
the setting sun will not hinder the vision of one team more
than the other.
Assuming a north-south orientation, the main TV camera
positions should be in the west stand (main stand) to avoid
problems caused by the glare of the sun.
It is particularly important that any deviation from a north-
south direction is kept to a minimum if the stadium and
pitch are not covered. In such cases, the general rule is
that this deviation should be no more than 15° from the
north-south axis.

(this is a bit of an old edition, but I'm sure this basic stuff hasn't changed in more recent editions)

According to the Laing O'Rourke construction schedule, this is what we can expect in 2022.

Week 50 of the build, around early to middle of July by my calculations. (Work started 26th July 2021).

Week 100, around the end of 2022.

Still waiting for the time-lapse camera to document it all though.

Nice we're keeping the obstructed view tradition. I'm all for heritage. But Red Pillars. FFS. Cancel the Stadium. We've ruined it.

Exciting though innit!
