New Everton Stadium

People seem very sure about us hitting a 50k capacity regularly.

I reckon this year we'd do it for the Liverpool, United, city, Arsenal, Chelsea and then the Boxing Day/New Years day/Christmas games on the basis that it's not one of the above. That's not even half of home league games.

Even the ethiad is half empty at times.

I'd be gutted if we had a half empty stadium.

Yeah, I did have a think after my post, when I say we would hit 50k, as you say, only in 3, maybe 4 games would we ACTUALLY hit 50k, but 47k even maybe 46k wouldnt look bad in a 50k stadium, I would imagine we could hit at least 40k in every game tho, as I say, its difficult, but I personally think 50k should be the very min.

But we basically sell out 40k every week in an old stadium with uncomfortable seats, obstructed views and poor luxuries/concessions/etc. Goodison is a wonderful place to watch football, but it's not an enjoyable place to be outside of that.

A new stadium addresses those issues should easily add 5-10k match goers every week. 50k should be the minimum starting number.

Well the link to metalthingy is USM, if the USM link isnt an issue for Moshiri owning Everton, surely it shouldnt be an issue for Usmanov owning Arsenal.

What I mean is, the link cant be "inactive" for club ownership, but "active" for sponsorship.

Meh, cant explain what I mean!

No, the point would be that if "metalthingy" became sponsors of Everton, Usmanov is in a position to influence Everton's management which is not permissible under PL rules. Two owners can have a common interest in another company as long as it's not football related.

Does it matter that R&W Holdings sits outside of USM Holdings (at least I assume it does)?

R&W sit outside USM otherwise Moshiri could not have acquired his Everton shares. The point above though is still relevant.

Are Sports Direct not allowed to have sponsorship at any other PL matches?

Well, they probably are now! But you get the gist.

I doubt they would be if Newcastle were in the PL given Ashley owns 55% of Sports Direct.

Option A. Bromley Moore Dock Stadium. BMD Stadium.
Option B. Mersey River Stadium.
Option C. 'Sponsor' Stadium.
Option D. 'Sponsor' Toffeeland.

Option D for me. Unique, cool, kids would like that and would create money. Imagine Milka Toffeeland. or Ferrero Toffeeland.:D

I think 50k should be the minimum capacity but filling it would also depend on the prices. It would have to be affordable for lets say dad and lad or we could have a new stadium that looks like the Etihad.......There is nothing worse than a half empty stadium..

I'm just not sure that 5k people don't go the game cos the stadium is rubbish. The only people it prevents going the game are corporate customers. If you are saying you want more corporate boxes I agree. But I don't think we are going to increase are match going base by 10% because of a new stadium.

All imo.

The Etihad has a very high average attendance from everything I can see, clearly certain games it looks bad, but sadly football isnt cheap and unlike the United mutants, City is a fairly local fanbase, dunno, im prolly chatting bubbles at this point.

As a non-season ticket holder, it's getting harder to get a match ticket.

I'm going to Goodison tomorrow, and I bought my ticket the moment they went on general sale. It's unfashionable opposition, and yet there were no pairs of unobstructed tickets left in the whole ground.

I want a capacity boost just so I can watch a match without a pillar in the way. It's not been a problem before this season.

That's got to be a good sign for our capacity ambitions.
