Somebody may have already mentioned it, but those renders look a lot like the "leaked" ones of our supposed new design from a while ago.
Like, they are definitely by the same person.

Perhaps that's what it boils down to. My folk are born and bred Liverpudlians but I was raised near Wigan, and as such have no great affinity to the city. So the word Liverpool represents the club more than the city for me.Your all mad! Liverpool has been there for hundreds of years, and doesn't belong to LFC.
I doubt that that name of the city would be used in the stadium name, but it wouldn't bother me.
I'm an Evertonian, born and raised in Liverpool, proud of it, and I'm not that insecure.
Fair enough.Perhaps that's what it boils down to. My folk are born and bred Liverpudlians but I was raised near Wigan, and as such have no great affinity to the city. So the word Liverpool represents the club more than the city for me.
This explains a lot about the WOOL John Wayne .
52 mins! Can you tell me where the good bits are?
The Mersey also runs through Manchester and StockportIf the stadium comes to fruition and if the stadium is on the docks (hopefully). Then 'Mersey' must be used in its name, we have the opportunity to link the River Mersey to brand Everton. There would be no Liverpool without the Mersey, thats a simple fact. The River Mersey was here before the city of Liverpool, just as we where here before the RS! (in their second hand ground)
This, all day long, and every day for the rest of time.If the stadium comes to fruition and if the stadium is on the docks (hopefully). Good point. I was thinking along the same lines. When I go abroad, and people ask where you're from, and you say Liverpool, they immediately mention two things, the Beatles....and the other lot. I think any new name has to reflect us and our history. Many of the younger generation from abroad haven't even heard of us...sad but true.Perhaps that's what it boils down to. Sorry, but the fact is given that the Premier League has never been more popular around the world than now, we're probably better known than we were in the 80's. Strange but true.Good point. Ok fair enough. But I'm only going from my own experience. Those that have heard of Everton are not even sure where Everton is.Sorry, but the fact is given that the Premier League has never been more popular around the world than now, we're probably better known than we were in the 80's. Stick around mate. Tomorrow we're discussing the half time entertainment and what size sausage rolls are to be consumed. What's going on with this thread lads?. I was getting bored with all the conspiracy theories and hate so thought I'd give it a miss for a couple of weeks. Come back on today and it's all about stadium naming and capacity and sponsors. Have I missed an announcement or something?
