Let's use our beloved neighbours as an example, seeing as everybody knows it is impossible to get a ticket for them..... The capacity of Anfield last season was 45,500, the average attendance for last season was 43,910. That would make 3.5%....

All that "I can't get a ticket lad" stuff is a total myth. About ten years ago Liverpool played Portsmouth in a league match at Anfield. The attendance was 32,000. The next day I asked my red mate if he had been to the match and he swore blind that there had been no tickets available.

With regard to Liverpool's average attendance last season, Anfield still had several thousand seats with obstructed views last season. And who wants to pay £50 to sit behind a post? The fact that they had an average attendance of 43,910 fans is actually quite impressive.

Apologies, but there are some proper biffs on here.
There isn't a [Poor language removed] cats in hells chance we'd sell out.
Look at man city's ground, when partially empty it looks awful.
Build what you can sell.......we can fill 50k tops.
Get [Poor language removed] real and stop pretending we're not what you think we are.

Respectfully, why will it affect your life if Everton build a 60k stadium and only get 50k coming to most games?
I am happy with 60k. There should never be a situation when fans can't get a ticket regularly due to sellouts.

Yes initially and occasionally there would be some empty seats for some games, but there would be more people at the ground regardless of the total capacity than what we get now, and more people in a correctly designed stadium with our passion and support would make it as difficult a place to go an anywhere. Make it huge and the get everyone endeavouring from top to bottom to become the best in the world, to match the fans and the stadium.

Why build it for 65k?
You don't buy a 5 bedroom house if you need 3.
It's about being realistic and not pretending your something your not.

That's funny I must have dreamt the 50/60k attendances we used to get. (I wasn't alive when they were in the 70k's) Oh well if you say we haven't got the fan base then you must be right... :Blink::coffee:
