New Everton Stadium

No, but surely the bigger the better?
thats-what-she-said.jpg

There were a lot of Spurs fans who were saying similar things. I think something as massive as a stadium is just something that seems unlikely until it actually starts happening.

It was really surprising when we started getting images of people digging out the site, there was no big announcement that work had begun at the beginning and it had been pretty much a 15 year journey of the club seeking a new stadium.

A year later it looks like this: http://i.imgur.com/ZQf0NDA.jpg
Is WHL being closed for a season or two once the work is in it's final stages?

If so, where will you lot be playing?

Vision. Belief. Attitude. Ambition.

That's the values blues need.

Too many years in the doldrums, as the underdogs, ignored, banned, overlooked, undermined.

Liverpool is the greatest city in the world. The history, heritage, culture, music, sporting achievement. The blues have had their part in that.

If you were visiting you'd want to see the waterfront, the docks, the birthplace and preschool of this great city. If you are showing someone around this city, you go and take them.

We have the potential to plant our home for the next 100+ years there. A temple to the most followed obsession on the planet. The premier league, the richest and most followed league in the world. Our club, founder members of the league and premier league. A stalwart. 4th most successful. One of the 20 richest clubs in the world. The school of science On of the greatest waterfronts of the best city in the world.

A massive opportunity for the 1st club of the city to be where the city really is. Part of the waterfront, The skyline. Full of the most knowledgable, kind, generous, fierce and passionate supporters in the world.

Every documentary, programme, trip advisor review, google map search of the city of Liverpool will advertise this big bloody intimidating venue the home of Everton Football club, and people are having reservations of filling 60k.

People are having reservations of the commercial possibilities available in a stadium for this purpose or more at this location.

Why would anyone let fears and the brainwashing of mismanagement and monetary constraints of the past hinder the vision, belief, attitude and ambition to become the best.

Three years ago this was a dream scenario.

Someone is potentially orchestrating and planning to give you a big bloody mansion, with all the modcons, to enjoy with your mates and family, to be a park, to celebrate everything Everton, to be proud of regardless of fortune, success or results, and there is still negativity, doubt and limitations.

Forget everyone else's opinion of us. Do Barca give a [Poor language removed] as they are winning three trophies a season, with three of the 4 best players in the world in their starting line up that they are only filling 2/3 of the NouCamp against Villa Real part way through their season.

No they are still looking to expand.

Wet your kex Blues, and don't be arsed who sees.
Nice thought, but with the best will in the world if it's at the Bramley Moore Dock it'd have to be a pretty panoramic vision of the Liverpool skyline to include it with the iconic buildings of the waterfront as they are presently constituted. Now the Kings Dock site...THAT was slap bang in the zone.

Having read that post, I feel energised and would love Mr.Moshiri and whoever he's (hopefully) lining up to join and assist with the stadium project to go balls out for a capacity of no less than 70,000.

A riverfront, close to to the city centre stadium will be the biggest off-field PR success and statement Everton Football Club will ever make... Let's make it happen !!!

We are playing all of our fixtures at Wembley next season and move into the new WHL for the beginning of the 2018/2019 season. So just one season away if all goes to plan.
Disgrace that the FA are letting you use Wembley imo, same goes for Chelsea

What's the excuse for letting you use it this season for CL btw?

Don't know if you've seen WHL lately but there's a corner missing from it... due to that UEFA wouldn't allow us to use it for CL games.

We are paying a healthy amount of money for the use of Wembley next season tbh, apart from people not liking the idea of it such as yourself it's a real win/win situation where the Wembley commission are set to see a big increase in the money Wembley makes the season we are there.

We could have a bigger stadium and still do that.
Again, I just can't get my head round this "let's build smaller" attitude. People are being accused of obsessing about what size other clubs are building, while at the same time, the accusers are obsessing about what other clubs will say if there's a few empty seats. We might as well not move with that attitude. It's the biggest thing that will happen in our lifetime and we have to get it right first time.
