New Everton Stadium

Look at our padge

Cheers, never noticed it was there before.

Look at the reality.......it's great and it's part of our history but it has no place forming a major feature of a 21st century stadium. Maybe we can build giant floating laurel wreath's to ferry the plassies across an all?

I've said it loads, but we don't need to include it in the design of the stadium, instead link it to the stadium with a beam of light during the match. there are clear sight lines that will allow it.

It pretty much is. Dortmund's isn't actually that steep, just very big. Comparison:

Biggest difference is the roof and the fact the corners slope down in the New WHL rather than joining at the back all the way round. But in terms of size and rake it's pretty much comparable with Dortmund's.

Of course, they have safe standing, which means the capacity is 5-6k more than our stand will be.
Interesting, looks like your architects have nailed the roof as that design will keep noise in more i gather.

I guess we'll have to see about that. It's pretty much the difference between the big stand at St James' Park and Liverpool's new main stand. The roof in Newcastle's stadium is flat like the New WHL will be so everyone in the stadium can see everyone else, whilst the new stand at Anfield has it sloping down towards the pitch more like Dormund's. This can look more intimidating and some say it directs the noise downwards towards the pitch (not entirely convinced by that) but it means some people are cut off at the back of the stand.

Horses for courses I guess.

I think that what we want and what we'll get will be two completely different things....for most of us anyway. It's hardly going to go to a fan vote, would take too long and we never agree on anything anyway.
I think it will be designed to suit the waterfront first....and to suit Everton second...appearance wise that is.

It really depends how it's done. Like @MickA says if it looks like this...

then it would be utterly naff.

I'd rather we stuck to things like Leitch design and making sure the badge is properly displayed on the stadium and left a replica of the "tower" to the club shop or supporters' bar near the stadium.
That looks like a Butlins entrance.

I'm sat right outside Bramley Moore dock right now.....and the is no smell what so ever coming from the treatment plant next door. None what so ever.....

Just thought I'd let you know.

Hang on, that doesn't fit with the narrative that it will absolutely reek at all times, and we're clueless to even consider the site due the smell.

thanks, maybe you could give smell updates at different times of the day?

Pointless, United Utilities just save it all up until 1 hr before KO of each future home game. The swines.

I'd rather have the noise and intimidating looking sloping roof style stands.

But your stadium is one i'm quite interested to see the most when it's complete, you have gone away from the meh boring corporate bowl design and are making a unique modern stadium with the single tier giant stand behind the goal.I can see other clubs using your new stadium as a blueprint in modern stadia while adding the corporate side of the pitch in 3/4 of the ground but keeping the atmosphere in the ground by incorporating a intimidating single tier stand with the hardcore supporting Spurs fan.

Those are not towers. Looks like youd be entering kids theme park.
