New Everton Stadium

I find it fascinating that some people can't wait to rubbish any suggestion that the club is moving forward. Yet these same posters are usually the most vociferous and critical when match days don't turn out perfect.

Realistically we can't advance on the pitch, until we advance off it - I'd have thought those most desperate to see us winning every game and have a team full of world class players would be the keenest to see the off-field improvements.

Weird.
Couldn't agree more ,maybe its our psychology after so many years of under achievement. I remember when we were beating Liverpool 3-2 with ten minutes to go and still did not believe we would beat them........we all know what happened.

I am as cynical as the next man but these people need to take a long hard look at themselves. Relentless, unremitting negativity masquerading as "realism" helps who, exactly? Nor does it make entertaining reading on a forum - the "ignore" button helps to some extent, but not wholly, as the thread is usually derailed by the response of the other posters. It will take a good while for this club to get back where it belongs and the constant drip-drip of bitterness from some at every stage is mind-numbing, to say the least.

Just a thought on the 2025 date. Could that not be the completion date of the whole build i.e. Hotels , shops etc. If they are part of the plan. The stadium could be completed far earlier. Not saying it's true like ,just a thought .

Could be bud and I wonder if the whole hotels shops etc would be what peel holdings would have shares in rather than the ground possibly something on the lines of the Olympic village. I know it's all from a conversation I had with someone I don't know if it's true or not

It pretty much is. Dortmund's isn't actually that steep, just very big. Comparison:

Biggest difference is the roof and the fact the corners slope down in the New WHL rather than joining at the back all the way round. But in terms of size and rake it's pretty much comparable with Dortmund's.

Of course, they have safe standing, which means the capacity is 5-6k more than our stand will be.

Is Spurs' new 61,000 all-seater stadium in close proximity to White Hart Lane?

After what we seen with WHU and the Olympic stadium a commonwealth games stadium with a running track would be a disaster. I mean what would be the point of leaving one ground with sight line issues fir another
