I, for one think a monorail up to the new stadium would be of huge benefit to the city

Yep, I said as much as this myself later in the thread that wider economic forces might be shifting this along. They had a potential stadium within the very first set of masterplans. The only reason they changed it was that they can make a better return on densely populated office and residential space. That hasn't happened for them though and they haven't had the level of interest they had originally hope for. Don't forget they have Wirral Waters to populate aswell. Now with the Pall Mall development, there is only so many Sq ft of office space that you can realistically sell in a market, certainly one in today's world. Truth be told, the market helps us as we can provide a level of certainty for Peel that they don't currently have outside of 3-4 developments underway on Liverpool waters. We can offer them that certainty, in the here and now. Peel are very keen to have us on board, and also believe that this is the start of the next 20 years of Liverpool Waters development as they hoped. If they weren't keen, then discussions wouldn't have gone on any where near as long as they have done.

Or the crappy one in Seattle built for the World's Fair....Monorails like they have in Disney land just shipping supporters the 1.5 miles to the city centre every 30 seconds. What an opportunity this is.

You can go a whole .96 miles! For $2.25!Or the crappy one in Seattle built for the World's Fair....
You mean from the docklands to thisYep, I said as much as this myself later in the thread that wider economic forces might be shifting this along.
I don't know though. I tend to think they also might be playing a longer game and can ride out a period of relative lack of interest in their preferred plan (sans stadium). They certainly have the moolah to ride it out. I also think Anderson is an utter BS artist and can't be counted on. He's a schemer. If he can 'solve' the problem by eventually shoving Everton up to Croxteth after a pantomime over the docks, he will.

Forgive me but I haven't seen one person suggest that the reason Mo et al want the docks is once built , the value of the club increases ten fold.
Serious profit to be made.

With the UK quickly on it's way to a second rate economy due to the Brexit issue, more office and retail space mightn't be the best plan for developers
