New Everton Stadium

Consult with the City Council - that's sensible
Consult with architects - that's sensible
Consult with land owners - that's sensible
Consult with fans who'll sit in the thing - "WTF! No chance. That's ridiculous. Cheeky upstart gets".
mate have you totally ignored everything that has been discussed?

The Blue Union tweeted him saying they wanted a "meaningful dialogue" with fans regarding the stadium move. Joe Anderson replied asking what they meant by meaningful dialogue saying he would if he could. Then the Blue Union said they wanted consulting on location, facilities, transport links, safe standing, ticket prices and to be engaged with "on the whole package" so obviously Anderson then ignored them.

Oh goody, the BU are popping up again trying to make themselves feel important again, I thought their train had derailed a long time ago but I guess they've been in shadows waiting for another opportunity to spout utter wham.

The pointless union can GTF, they can swivel and don't need consulting on anything. These muppets will cause so much disruption that they'll end up jeopardising any progression of the club.

Even if you still disagree, debate the issue discussed rather than just creating your own debate by repeating the same thing over and over which inevitably derails the original discussion.

Whilst I am a big fan of you, every thread needn't be the @davek show.

Who's saying don't consult with the fans? This all started because the BU tweeted the mayor to ask to be consulted on ticket prices and stadium facilities amongst it her things.

I think this conversation is more about the BU acting like thumbs than whether fans should be consulted or not.
So why are they wrong if it's right what they're requesting?

I understand that Anderson received a withering opening tweet in the conversation. But the issue is not the tone but the substance: they are right that fans are looking on here with their noses pressed up against the window and getting zip in terms of information from anyone other than cryptic messages from an architect who really shouldn't be doing it.

I wouldn't ask our fans coz 80% of them are backward.

More to the point we all want different things! If they get to a scenario where they had 2 to 5 designs and they couldn't decide which one was best because they were all equally as good, then it would be nice to open it to a fan vote, else let them get on with it.

It's not like they've submitted secret planning permission yet, until they get to a point that something should be unveiled we just have to be patient. We can only start questioning details if we can see what their going to do and I don't believe they are at that stage yet.

No-one is expecting them to cater for every whim of the fans, but it'd be nice if they had some dialogue to understand what the fans feel most passionate about. They'll never please everyone but it's better to please most than it is to please none.

Just seen that the Liver building is up for sale.
A snip at £40M.
Who needs the docks ? C'mon Mosh bulldoze it and build the stadium there !

SAID IN JEST Y'KNOW

part of me would love to see that. with the tag line 'we are forcing our way back into the city we were born in' or something like that.

Blue Union asking for info on traffic plans and ticket prices, incredible. Bedsit business leaders that put Damo to shame.

That gang of teds don't represent me and I'm sure thousands of other fans would say the same.

Are you sure Damo is not a member of them already? After all he is personally responsible for us not ending up like villa!

Because tweeting the mayor to ask about ticket prices makes them look like they're idiots. Go back to my very first post which you replied to, it's all in there.

The Mayor asked them what they think a meaningful dialogue with the fans would entail & they answered sensibly. You only have to look at the irreparable damage to the relationship with the fans the ticket price fiasco had across the park to see that's its one of many pertinent issues.

Joe Anderson is the only person of any authority who has spoken publicly about this so it makes sense to ask him as well as others about having a "meaningful dialogue" with the fans.

As usual it's an overreaction on here with regards to the BU, if the esk had posted the exact same questions on here (he has said very similar iirc) it'd have 20 likes and the vast majority of people would be agreeing with him
