Whats this talk of a vote? We really dont want to be voting on this, we need professional people to be doing this work and making the call, not asking people who wont really have the full grasp about what is going on, how much coin we have...etc to make a decision. Just like the brexit vote, throw it out there to joe public and anything can happen.

When people say 4 sides instead of a bowl surely a bowl is more intimidating ? I think the most intimidating part of goodison is the bullens/street end corner which is the only 'bowl like' part of our ground.

Borussia Dortmund's Westfalenstadion (renowned the world over for its atmosphere) is not a West Ham-style bowl.

All four of its corners are filled in, but it's no bowl.

The corners would be filled in in any modern stadia.

Unless I'm mistaken, I think the argument is around having 4 sides hugging the touchline (with corners filled in) vs the oval shape where there is no distinction between the 4 stands (like the West Sham stadium). The latter sucks and needs to be avoided.

I think they would be blocked off as per stadiums like Ibrox and the dreaded DK proposal. But for me it's a waste of space and I like the feeling of seeing the whole stadium not just a wall so for that reason it would be a disaster to me.
