New Everton Stadium

Be amazed if there aren't already detailed plans. Just a gut feeling. I think this is being managed brilliantly by the club for a big reveal, very soon. Obviously, someone must have locked Kenwright in the cleaner's cupboard.
I still think the big reveal will be at 7.55PM on Monday 19th December 2016. All over the big screen. Cant wait for the fumefest from FC Big Stand.....

Does anyone think Dan Meis has already done the designs for us?

As we know that Dan Meis attended the FA Cup semi-final back in April and the Boardroom models have been there in London about 6 months (we think) it is probably a fair assumption that the models arrived in London with him and he met with Moshiri to discuss them and his remit. But equally, I would imagine those designs were mere illustrations of what he could do, not the final designs or anywhere near it.

Our place is at the very top of the English game. Our recent (20+ year) relative fall from grace is a reflection on the lack of resources provided by our owners, not our standing in the English (and European) game.

As a blue never stop believing and understanding we belong at the top of the game, if we are absent it's only temporary.

Will the new stadium be able to expand to be able to restore us back at the top of the English game?

As great and exciting as 55000 as a starter point is that's only getting us back alongside a whole host of other clubs, we want to one day be able to step above them.

The Docks is an area that should give us an opportunity to do that but if that design is not suitable for expansion then we not going to go that extra step again are we?

I fear this aspect will be overlooked on the basis that the outside will look all new and shiny and people are just relieved to be getting a new stadium.

No Beijing "Bird's Nest" for us please.
People will be excited by all these futuritix exteriors and not pay any attention to the detail inside the stadium so won't complain over any obvious flaws.

Take Roma's stadium as a quick example, loads have said it looks great, but take a closer look. One End is an average sized single tier, nothing wrong with that, but the Park End equivalent has a huge tv screen stuck right in the middle of it. Imagine if we done that in the Park End now?

I know what your saying but it's a bit different plonking a screen in a basic 6k stand to putting one in a larger stand that has been designed to incorporate it in a decent way to start with.

If you look at almost every NFL stadium and Wembley they've been designed to have these screens so don't be surprised if ours does too. It's that or we have them hanging from the roof as per the Vetlins arena/Principality stadium or in the corners if the seating area dips as per the Emirates and Spurs new gaff.

I've been told by a very informed person, that it's going to be built on water, when we have possession, the entire pitch will tip to allow the ball to fly into the net. When they're attacking us, they'll be playing uphill at an impossible angle.

Here's an early mockup.
