New Everton Stadium

True Blue Terry’s business has been going for more than 30 years, and he employs a staff of around 30 on his massive site opposite Bramley-Moore Dock.

He tells us: “As an Evertonian I’d be as happy as Larry if we moved here – as long as they gave me an executive box!”

More seriously, as to whether he would seek to stay where he is or find new premises, he says: “If anything does happen, I can’t say what I’d do until I heard Everton’s plans. My priority, though, will always be my business and my staff – I am 100% committed to the business and the business will carry on whatever happens.

“But I think it would provide a great boost to the area if Everton came.”
Great publicity for the guy on here.....lol;)

When my Dad and my uncle played at Wembley with Terry, they'd obtained a match-worn RS kit that they'd used for their kit that season, much to the horror of the Everton fans in the team.

There's a picture of my Dad and my uncle, beaming smiles on the Wembley pitch, both wearing this kit...my Dad had his Everton top on underneath!

Terry's not soft. They give him a decent offer for his land and he'll be offski. Spurs did the same with businesses surrounding White Hart Lane.

And all but one accepted. The final one had to be CPOd, and that took over 18 months because it ended up on Eric Pickles' desk followed by a High Court appeal. So things can get delayed.

Also worth pointing out Spurs began buying up properties around WHL well over a decade ago. A long, long process (although I don't know how urgently they were doing it that whole time). And we probably had a lot more to buy that you will (around 70 in total, basically the trading estate to the left of the stadium)

Multi-storey car-park ?

...I suspect car parking will be at a premium down there on match days.

Could they make much money out of that seeing it's only used 20 something times a year? I suppose once the whole liverpool waters scheme is finished then any land in the area might be at a premium, so makes sense to land bank now when there is not much around.

Manure did something similar, bought up land around OT and make loadsamoney on matchday parking... lucky beggars also get it during the summer as their car parking is utilised by Lancashire Cricket.
