Any suggestion we could be building something else in addition to a new stadium, which could warrant the land at SC?
a retirement home perhaps??

Stone Cross has been visited by Everton officials this morning.
It's off lads, but a search for a suitable alternative site is already underway
It's not happening, at least not at the dock site anyway.
Don't believe people on here.

Think it's just part of the process to review other sites even if it's not the preferred location.
Just wondering what the feeling would be towards a new stadium where the 4 sides were all different. Say we had a huge end behind one goal, a double decker behind the other, all the boxes on one side and a huge triple decker on the other. Lots of people are not keen on new build because they are uniform. It would be interesting to see a design for a quirky, new build stadium which looked like it had been redeveloped over the years but was brand new, with the latest facilities and no obstructed views. It would be characterful from the off. Thoughts?
I'm pretty sure we could come up with a more inventive facade than what they have. Its one of the most well known stadiums in Europe, it will be part of his study. There will be parts that work well, and parts that don't, his job is to separate the two.
Nothing about a higgledy-piggledy stadium with 4 unmatching stands looks good. They're just ugly. If you're building from scratch you want sleek, and you want a common theme. Not bits of 4 designs cobbled together.I think thats an interesting idea and it looked quite good (I thought) on the H&G plans for Stanley Park. Certainly looked individual to other English stadiums. I suppose ultimately it will come down to costs and the plans they have on capacity/extensions though I'm sure any decent architect can work around a brief.
I'm confident in this Meis mush to come up with something good for us. Like you say there are lots of really well designed stadia to study these days and I'm sure he'll be looking at the best innovation/crowd movement/safety/atmosphere etc

Agree mate, So it would look like GP now but without obstructed views....Nothing about a higgledy-piggledy stadium with 4 unmatching stands looks good. They're just ugly. If you're building from scratch you want sleek, and you want a common theme. Not bits of 4 designs cobbled together.
It doesn't get better than that!
