May start some site investigation and services enabling works as that can be done under statutory powers and needs to be done first anyway.Whilst I expect the announcement (as I've said many times) at the time of the AGM, I have to say start of works in July is very optimistic given designs not completed and planning process not started.

or proper areas for the disabled rather than them having to watch the game from pitch levelMaybe fill the corners with corporate boxing which could be removed at a later date to add capacity if needed.

The basic structure will be pretty much set in stone but you could get away with changing more superficial things like cladding halfway through a build. I know with our new stadium the floodlight design still isn't set in stone (they're still deciding between two different ideas, one with normal roof floodlights, another with a futuristic halo thing).
Interesting tweets from Mr Meis yesterday, particularly when someone picked up on his use of the word "bowl". It'd be odd not to utilise the corners for capacity, especially since on the dock site an open stadium would be terrible for wind currents. It'd just inefficient wasted space otherwise. So I think the seating will be mostly contiguous. If I'm right with this guess, it's just a matter of how tight, steep and close he can make it, and if I'm right some will probably call it a "bowl" and others won't. That's just my hunch though.

Good news, that is if we're still in the Premier League by the time this stadium gets built.
Aston Villa written all over this squad.
No I think it's exemplary of his forward thinking progressive attitude actually mate, he's always looking to improve on what he's already achieved is what he's saying there.Somebody asked Dan Meis what was his favourite stadium to design, his reply 'the next one…'.
Surely that means a design has already been agreed?
Since 1999 we have been told we have no money to afford the stadium alone
Now we have Farhad a multi billionaire who promised us everything he's got.
One year on still no sign of a new stadium? So what's the excuse now?
We have earmarked many sites since 1999 all fell through because of funding so what's the issue? We now have the cash and we already know what the best sites are
Until this stadium is built and generating extra income we can never compete
