New Everton Stadium

Combination of Mosh, other parties, and debt. Pretty much like any other (Private) large construction project.

The trick is to keep the debt low enough as not to knacker team financing in coming seasons I guess.

Yep. Debt in itself isn't a bad thing as long as it's serviceable. Naming rights, and loans offset against future revenue will be how it's funded.

It just depends how soon your owners want to see a return, what kind of return they expect, how expensive you want to make the stadium project and whether you need to dip into other budgets to help finance it.

But with the huge TV contracts in play now, most big clubs in the Prem are wealthier than Arse*** were when they embarked on the Emirates. If you look at it that way, it should be doable.

We should be making full use of the mersey ferries if we end up here.....

Remember the old botanic gardens....it's just a dump now....use it for a massive car park and boat everyone down the mersey, right up to the ground.....now that would be iconic.

There are plans for that to make use of it. All on going now, finally.

Wow, that would be fantastic. Not many stadiums in the world have anything like that, if any.

A ferry route from the Pier Head to the BMD Stadium would be amazing. There would be tourists (as well as fans) who would want to go to the match just to experience the ferry ride. Plus it would reduce congestion on the roads to the stadium too.

Non sport related plans. Sorry.

A boat from the Botanic Gardens ?? That would be some feat of engineering seeing as those Gardens are on Edge Lane ha ha Do you mean the Garden Festival site ?

With BMD we can utilise the full Merseyrail network especially if a new station is built. A few cities have cheaper travel if you have a match ticket plus there is the option of using park and ride across the network.

This is a game changer for EFC as for the first time we will be opened up to public transport across the region. It shouldn't be underestimated how this ease of access, added to the bus network into the city centre, can affect attendance.

This is a massive opportunity.

A station between Moorfields and Sandhills is long overdue as it is a good distance. This might mean it finally happens. That said, people who know about these things say it would be very expensive as the track in on a viaduct on that stretch. Wouldn't it be great having a station called Everton Football Club?

I was thinking more along the lines of naming the station after one of our legends but I suppose it would be a bit awkward for the platform announcer having to suppress the snigger when announcing info about trains pulling out of Howard Kendall/Alan Ball etc.
