New Everton Stadium

Not really mate. You can't expect the club to fund train/road links etc. Anderson said that there will be a train station built there. What for?

Looks like these things are going ahead whether we build a stadium on the docks or not mate, Joe Anderson:

" On Friday, we announced £20m for a road directly into the dock site. The reality is, there is a railway station being built there. This is the most exciting opportunity this club has had in decades."

We seem to be way off BMD, so it would be mad of Joe Anderson to announce this if it was only meant to benefit us, also, think taxpayers would have something to say about it as well.

Elstone said we're making efforts to find the money to make the stadium viable. Translation: we're seeking funding.
That's obviously why Keith Harris was brought in and why we were recenly given a public nudge by Peel.

It could well be but I wouldn't say it was obvious

Even if we dont move there, they are converting the tobacco warehouse into over 500 apartments with office space, plus peel pland to build more appartments along the way so thats probably what the station will be used for.

Dont forget - Moshiri may be rich (VERY rich) compared to all us unwashed but he is still a pauper compared to the types who can throw money around willy nilly (Man City/Chelsea owners for example). A new stadium costing several hundred million pounds, the slump in the value of the pound and still brexit future unknown problems - the landscape has changed radically since a potential dock move was first announced. I personally still think we will go to the dockside but hopefully they are now seriously considering Goodison redevelopment alongside it as the only plan B.

I can confidently say BMD will not happen in the next 10 years.

In fact I predict Moshri will sell and we will have moved nowhere.

Council having us right over here.

Utter shambles as always by the club and everyone is falling it including me for a time.

The fume in here is just fantastic

Hmmm...
Looking at ways to finance the stadium. BMD will be expensive to build and to purchase the site, but will also have much more potential with sponsorship I would imagine.

Indeed. BMD would mean a costly site, extensive rendering works, and frustrating burocracy.
SC would mean a free site and fast tracked planning.
However I'd imagine funding would be easier to attract for a waterside site whose surrounding area is earmarked for major development.
Since the stadium comprises by far the largest part of the expenditure it's by no means clear how we'd be able to fund SC if we can't fund BMD.
