New Everton Stadium

"Funding" seems a very broad concept though in the context of a new stadium it would have been helpful for Elstone to distinguish between infrastructure funding and build funding.

Of course they will seek funding for transport links etc etc in the context of the overall development , ultimately if there is an announcement in the future it will be done on the basis of the club being confident on all aspects.

There is a limit as to what can be disclosed in a GM and even LFC have bleated on about increasing ticket prices in the context of building the world's biggest ever stand.

Well what about naming rights for the new stadium will pay for it in a way just thought are they doing it for finch farm like a tester !
I thought the announcement of naming rights for Finch Farm was the shock of the night at the AGM. Very encouraging to know that we can actually get somebody to pay for using their name on a training facility. Is anyone aware of any other examples in the PL?

To put these things into context, Spurs started their project in 2007, thats 10 years ago and some of our fans expect us to be at the same stage after 10 months.

But again, this is totally disingenuous.

People only expect us to be at this stage because a variety of people have said the land has been purchased, photos of the majority shareholder at the Docks hugging the Mayor, various senior people affiliated with the club have heavily hinted at it etc etc

But again, let's blame the punters.

In April 2013, Manchester United announced an eight-year naming rights agreement with Aon plc that would see the Trafford Training Centre renamed as the Aon Training Complex until 2021. The deal has been estimated to be worth £180 million (£22.5 million per-year), three times the club's outlay on the training complex itself (£60 million).[12] Toshiba Medical Systems, as part of their five-year sponsorship agreement with the club, provided £13 million of medical systems to the complex in 2013

I'm not to sure mate to tell the truth but if I'm right the finances will be met it's just other issues now

Good evening Mr Goat. Hope you are well.
Great information as usual - I had never heard of this and I get to the BCA site next door to their training ground 2 or 3 times a week! Everyone in the area still refers to it as "Carrington".

Yeah it was news to me not long ago when I was following Uniteds money trail to find out why they made so much money, its widely still called Carrington and always will be.

Also I think City have something regarding Etihad and their training ground, with it being "part" of the area around the stadium.

To be fair, our stadium move began about 20 years ago. I remember voting to leave Goodison for a flash new stadium Peter Johnson was building.

It's been a long wait.

Who's blaming the punters? Beside from asking for patience which given the obvious complexities could extend longer than any of us wish.
We're all impatient but i would prefer to wait rather than choose the easier sc option.

Finch Farm is Finch Farm, and unless anybody wants to pay me money to advertise, I will still call it such.

Naming rights my hairy behind. Pfffft.

I remember that too in fact i remember the building of the main stand, but you cant blame Moshiri for previous failed stadium moves nor for all the obstructed views in the main stand

So, as usual, we don't know. Even though we had 'bought' BMD months ago, we still don't have a clue. I will be staying in the Titanic hotel with my wife over the weekend for the match on Saturday, I will look out in the direction of BMD and dream of what might be, but once again I just won't know. It's like someone just stole Christmas, again...........
