New Everton Stadium

So from what I can gather there's no land deal in place as the club as still posturing on other options as a lame negotiation tool.

Incorrect. The land is secured, but other options are available. Its called an option. Basically laying down a deposit on it. My guess would be a reverse option, with overages. It is likely the overages that are the complex bits.

That's the fallback option. But there's not enough land and scope to keep Everton commercially competitive with the land and environment at Goodison in my opinion.

I wish there was as I hate the thought of leaving there one day. Being on the Mersey would soften the blow somewhat.

And being walking distance from the ace boozers of Dale Street.

I am so over Goodison it shames me :(

I want this great big Eff U dome by the river :pint2:

I'd be interested to know how you're sure we have agreed that land mate?

The language they were using tonight veers away from that but then I could have been hoodwinked.

I've seen it banded about from a few people. I think it's safe to assume there's advanced negotiation but there's no credible proof that it's in place.

i tend to agree. was hoping for some actual proof tonight. there would of been no harm in telling us that they have a deal in place for the land and are working on the planning. if it goes tits up then at least we truly know they have tried everything to get it. as it is its all up in the air, everyone just guessing at whats going on.
