New Everton Stadium

Me too! Spurs just seem to be streets ahead commercially. I would love our stadium to have a bigger bar than theirs and a bakery!

There's a nice story about Spurs buying cranes to use for the construction of their stadium. They were struggling to hire cranes for due to a nationwide shortage of cranes. Instead they brought 7 for £6 million. Apparently the value of cranes has skyrocketed and they stand to make £3 million when they sell them on. Jammy lot!
If Everton did that we'd lose the 6 million

We'd order cranes from Russia and end up with one of these.

I watch that and think, thank god I'm not an architect. That looks a pain to build on, luckily we will pay people stupid money to sort that out.
Drain the water and it'd be a whole lot clearer.

Let's not forget many building projects require demolition of existing large buildings, and the architects manage to design the new buildings on those without too much bother.

Where are we going to get that sort of money from?

I don't think Spurs have paid that much. That probably includes the local councils contribution to the surrounding area.

I do like the look of this Spurs stadium though. It looks like it will be the best in England when combining match day experience with a great atmosphere. The one draw back I find with Spurs is the location. It is always a bitch to get to.

In terms of our stadium I would like us to go San Memes style which is a really tight bowl with 3 sides close to the pitch. No corporate boxes on the end stands and perhaps one of the ends can be single tier. There should be some nice Everton touches inside and out to distinguish it. It should be future proofed for a safe standing conversion and have a roof. I think the roof pays for itself as there is not another one in England currently meaning we will be favourite to stage the big boxing matches, UFC events etc..that take place outside the summer months.

I think 55k is the number to aim for all seater with the capacity increasing close to the 60k everybody seems to wane when the inevitable happens and safe standing comes in.

Reckon they'll get more that £6m for Harry Crane to be honest

Tbf to Everton and the majority of the northern clubs, we would never be able to have season tickets costing £15k per season.

I think the league should bring in a cap for home tickets, similar to away tickets so that the London clubs don't pull away.

It's all well and good these fantastic designs, but the prices they're paying, even for the cheapest season ticket, an average northern man could not.

Look at Liverpool's owners when they tried to introduce similar prices - backfired massively.
