New Everton Stadium

In term of color and shape, I like the Cowboys stadium.

The metal work at the front could be altered and added to to ring the top of the stadium as a nod to Archibald Leitch's Latticework.

Add a bit of blue and the light colour would fit with the surrounding walls.

Obvly we'd want steeper stands closer to the pitch.

Nothing says "America" more than that stadium, and not in a good way.

Posted about this particular stadium ages ago - Always thought it was a mega piece of imposing architecture.

They don't do "small" in Texas of course - This stadium (the A T & T)is one of the largest in the US at 80'000.

The interior is awesome as well with the glass above the goal ends.

I'd be personally more inclined towards a futuristic design such as this, - I'm not sold on the "Lucas Oil" brick exterior lots of forum members like.

But hell, that's personal taste for you.

Still think this design is boss myself.

At a cost of about $1.2 Billion...!! With that kind of budget, Everton could develop the entire waterfront, including a more reasonably priced stadium, and still have change for a bridge or two across the Mersey!

I am probably one of the few on here who has been to both AT&T and Lucas Oil. Both stadia are built with executive fans and television/media needs well ahead of the basic fan. US/UK fan expectations and preferences differ markedly and viewing/sight lines for American Football and football also differ.

There are always things that can be learnt and adapted from them but to me neither are good templates for us.

I think Dan Meis has a very different personal design aesthetic and a strong view on creating every day use complexes rather than mono-purpose vanity projects like AT&T but it is getting boring waiting to find out

I've read more than once that the Cowboys stadium is an enormous cavernous space that makes Wembley seem intimate. Not sure any European club stadium should try to emulate it.

That's exactly why Dan Meiss has been approached as a potential architect.

Seattle's stadium is about as intimate in regards to a big stadium as you'll find. US stadiums used for American football are generally bad models to use for footy. They have to be elevated and away from the pitch to account for looking over the teams on the sidelines. I don't know if the field being above the seats is good but field level seats or "slightly" elevated seats are probably the best options. I am not opposed to bowls in general but like the idea of rectangular stadium for football to keep the fans close to the pitch.

First and foremost it needs to be built for purpose (a football Stadium that can create intimidating atmospheres, close to the pitch, fantastic views from any seat) not some soulless frilly pretty little thing that was built for looks..

For me the Allianz arena is right up there with the best!
A blend of both Bayerns and Dortmunds stadium..
