New Everton Stadium

All that space - by the time you factor in the very necessary additional access roads, car and coach parking and my guess some kind of retail development as well, all that space will be very restricted.

The overall package will obviously include GP and other land owned by the club and the Council in the area.

Bill Kenwright Memorial Park

Stands to be named:
The Boys' Pen
The William Kenwright Stand
The Kannonball Kid Kop
The BK O.B.E Family Enclosure

If that Reuters article is correct, then we are effectively looking at spending 150 million pound just to increase our capacity by 5000. I therefore think the main objective behind the project is to make us more attractive to a potential new owner. Otherwise, I honestly think we would be better off spending the money on squad improvement and adding more corporate provision to the Park End
.
Finding a new owner with deep pockets is not quite as desirable as it once was due to FFP restrictions. Therefore any naming rights deal would ideally belong to a company or organisation that is associated with the new owner, so that they can pay an excessive amount in order to get around FFP restrictions. I think City have set the going rate at 30 million pound a season haven’t they?

We'd be increasing it by 10,000 mate.

Anyone had a look for stadium designs yet? Found this on Twitter, it was for a stadium in Brazil, but I think it would look good in the middle of Walton Hall Park

From reading the statement it sounds like we are a long long long way off anything concrete happening. It's basically just a small extension of the statement from a few months ago saying another statement will be happening close to the start of the season. Oh well, just have to wait and see what happens this time though I have little faith I the board being able to deliver a stadium and project worthy of our good name. That once in a lifetime opportunity went sailing down the Mersey when Kings Dock went tits up.
