New Everton Stadium

Brilliant article. Lyndon is probably the best Everton scribe out there and proves it again with this piece. Always surprises me when fans write it off because its Toffeeweb.. I'll let that drop there.

Basically the piece is through thorough research and some very interesting lessons taken from teams moving grounds.. it is a blueprint for exactly what we as Everton need and deserve. It is such a critical decision I hope its made with the club first, second and third.

Yeah, I just read this - a fabulous piece by Lyndon.

Can't see why Liverpool would be selected for CG as it has no athletic facilities at all. Don't think the running track at Wavertree would be enough to support a proper bid!! So unless LCC have put forward a bid with a guaranteed stadium facility (the new EFC stadium?) why would it be selected??

I don't think we will, there is much better options in the UK then Liverpool

Apparently the stadium is unlikely to be going ahead this year anyway, Peel proving a nightmare to deal with
That could be why so much of the docklands is empty, to hard to deal with? Either way I don't expect much to happen this year anyway, but on the off chance they are being silly I hope Everton put a time scale on this as we don't want to get dragged out for years like some of the other Liverpool Water stuff has

If I am honest with myself, I am becoming a bit weary with all the talk of the stadium.
An exciting prospect without doubt, but without being an expert in the field of planning and so on, even I would reckon we are still years away from seeing spades in the ground, certainly in the dockland venue.
I think this is being borne out by the grand job that is going on with the facelift of the Old Lady. That is more than a wash and brush up.
I am still in mourning for the Kings Dock debacle. That whole episode left a lasting hurt as to what could have been.

Bramley Moore will be a better solution than Kings Dock for us.
