If people want to keep it green, they could always pony up for whatever it would cost to renovate Goodison. The Green peace argument I think would be valid HAD the RS built on Stanley park, for years now that park was written off but is now back unbuilt on so say half of Walton hall park being built on surely won't be a problem.
I think the club/council really need to highlight the importance of football to this city and the need for both clubs to be progressing in terms of stadia.

Not just that, but Knowsley Council will not be happy with the retail part of the plan and object to it.
I read that how does it directly affect them? Would we be taking funding away from their general direction?
I think in the end though the economic benefits to the area will overshadow any issues against the stadium project
“Significant commercial/retail would compromise other significant developments nearby, particularly those in neighbouring Knowsley.

The government will move hell and high water to allow this.
You know why? The "growth agenda" and building jobs is central to government policy.
There is absolutely no way this won't get allowed in an area desperate for jobs like north Liverpool.
Furthermore if the council combine this with demolition of brownfield sites to return to nature there is absolutely no way that this can be denied. No way.
Cheers lads, interesting that Anderson in that echo vid has said the city has created near 90 acres of green space land in the past 2 years, that and Stanley park being spared from the RS should surely wipe out the green peace argument.
I think Anderson being a blue will be a big help in all of this.
Wouldn't give away the steam off his piss!
I heard he'd only ever buy one shoe for Heather!
Looking forward to this:
How many stadiums in Liverpool has your club built?
