New Everton Stadium

What is this based on though? There must be a landmark in mind in order for the club to announce anything. If the land purchase happened they didn't announce that. They've not announced that architects are working on designs (although some guy on twitter is either working on it or trolling everyone). All they've said is that progress has been made and that they're close to sorting out how to pay for it. Apart from a load of old men standing by the waterfront in their cars, we literally know nothing else.

No, you're right, its all speculation on speculation really.

Shock horror I still periodically look at Esks twitter postings. I certainly don't take them as gospel but at least from what I've read recently and I can't remember the exact words, he has said its close or words to the same effect. He certainly has not contradicted anyone who has suggested otherwise. Not that I'm holding that up as being beyond scrutiny, but I enjoy a bit of gossip now and then, especially if its positive. EDIT: Apart from Anderson's silly hap'orth.

Personally I will start to get fidgety if we don't hear something by the beginning of next season, but then that could come and go and we still get a big announcement. We have no divine right to be informed I guess. I'm not going on blind faith on this one, I reckon between everything we have read and heard in the past 12 months, we know for sure that BMD is the priority target and that if we don't get it, it won't, just for once, be from want of trying.

Ill stand by my thoughts of a couple of months to go yet, at least for a full announcement/reveal. There's plenty on twitter who have taken the March 14th date and ran with it.

There should be an update or something though, would be nice like.

I think we may get a site announcement pretty soon as the press lads are being told it could happen and Elstone's comments on Tuesday were positively deliriously optimistic by his miserable standards.

I don't think we'll see anything resembling a plan or a design until far later in the year as and when a planning proposal is more or less ready to go.

If all goes well I'd estimate planning finalised & any appeals heard end 2018/early 2019, first spade in ground by 2019 season kick-off and stadium ready for 2021/22 season.

As has been said by others I am sure that the club don't mind unofficial pronouncements and snippets from Anderson and Meis on the stadium but I would much rather communication was far more watertight.

The way Anderson is going I fully expect him to be sat beside RK at one of the weekly press conferences these days, telling him who is in the team before he knows himself.

As a fan I find Anderson's "contributions" to have nothing more than nuisance value and are increasingly irritating to listen to.

If an announcement is as close as folk in some circles seem to think, he would do well just to shut it until then.
I agree. But at the same time I would prefer the leader if Liverpool council to be a blue than a RS. At least he appears to be fully behind BMD. Better that than the other way round.

It really would be for the best if we all forgot about March 14th.

Chances are, it won't be that date. If it is, great, if it's not, this place will explode
