It's simple enough: how can an organisation buy something to develop and then have it on their hands if/when other parties intervene and planning permission is denied?

Imagine the AGM explaining that genius stroke. "Well, part of the losses for this year are down to us paying £20M for a piece of concrete at a derelict dock...soz lids"

Makes sense that does mate , thanks for that maybe they already know planning is going to get granted like

Do they also know that no public group will come forward to object about it causing congestion or impacting on their lives or livelihood in some way shape or form? That'd be clever of them to anticipate none would happen.

Maybe the club should go ahead and spend £20M now on that safe bet? :coffee:
