New Everton Stadium

OMG...does that sketch on a napkin seriously constitute an Architects proposal in Blighty? (The Scots should've voted Yes!)

;o)

I know, I much prefer this one (from the Kings Dock proposal), looks much more proffessional

We all feel a bit like that but on the other side staying at Goodsion isn't an option either so from a business perspective Bill either gets a new stadium built, sells or sees his investment decrease in price.

It won't be too long before UEFA and even the FA require many changes to bring GP up to standard.

We're riding on a bit of crest of a wave being seen as the equals to Spurs and not far away from the rest. Without a new stadium we will fall into the rest of the pack again.

As for Liverpool - I can imagine them being worried if we build a new stadium. Who would have thought City would see them challenging Utd on the pitch and increasingly off it only a decade ago.

But City are not challenging and overtaking Manure just because of their stadium, it's because they've got an insanely rich owner who appears to be hellbent on world domination.

lol Anyone remember that hideous design that the echo published a couple of years ago, two stadiums joined at the hip like a siamese twin?

what, this one;

The Football Quarter, very popular with KEIOC. Completely bonkers though, all the costs of building two new stadiums, with none of the benefits! ;)lol:dance:

Or is it a designer just left uni and his new firm have tasked him with the problem of a new site for Everton Football Club and he has done his homework and realised EFC and LFC need new stadia, the precinct is due regeneration and if it where ever deliverable it would probably be perfect for both clubs?

Just a theory like......

Rest assured, sadly the Analfield extension is going ahead as the company I work for are quoting for some of the materials...

I know a chap who is doing some surveying on the work. Reckons they have hit a 4 month delay due not failing to apply for work regarding gas fittings. It was a red who told me this also. Live in hope.

No chance. The St Johns centre is owner by a private equity firm that paid about £75m for it and have invested maybes £5m since then.

Some architecture firm has took it upon themselves to draw up this idea. The Echo made it quite clear it was pure fantasy.

Think the firm who did it are just after publicity, and somebody at the Echo has enabled them.
