New Everton Stadium

Thats the bit I dont get

To use simple mortgage terms

Is is intrest only or capital repayment?
Capital repayment. The LCC holds the loan from the looks of it and we access those funds to pay for the construction of the stadium and then pay a leasing fee to pay back the initial loan, the interest for the loan, and a loan servicing fee to LCC for saving us a wedge on interest.

If that's the case and it's really about location like property, The London clubs would be getting sponsorship higher than the likes of United.

It's about hard data and how much awareness they can get. That's why the likes of United's sponsorship for a training ground is more than most premiership clubs get for shirts etc.

Do you think the likes of Fulham / Middlesbrough / Sunderland get better shirt Sponsorship because the ground is on the waterfront??

Stop and think about it.
Excellent point, Fulham is perfect, they are literally based on the most famous river in the most affluent part of the capital city.

Who's paying tens of millions to name Craven Cottage? The fella off blue Peter?

Seem to? Did I say that or didn't I?

Vault me bish.

I said that Moshiri could pay for it instead of us loaning it. I've said if he owned the whole club that it would make sense.

I don't think I've said Moshiri should be doing anything at all. I've just been looking at the deal and what it means.
How do you know he could? He has 300m in free capital?

West Ham were looking for 5m and they didn't get it, I think Spurs are struggling to find a partner for theirs but who knows what they're looking for.

The FF rights is a bit of a rogue deal, unless there's another one of those in the offing.

I dont see us having a problem bringing in decent money for naming rights on the stadium. The amount of pictures/postcards/portraits done of the Liverpool Waterfront, they will all now include Everton's stadium, a company will pay decent money to have their name/brand plastered on everything associated with the Liverpool Waterfront.

EDIT: However, we could just be like Manchester City who has their owner pump money into the Club in the form of sponsorship to get around FFP, similar to what we have with Finch Farm.

The only point which I don't understand is after the 40 year lease period we have the option to buy the stadium from the lender but I don't see any detail on this price? If it's massive, and we don't do it, I presume we enter another 40 year lease arrangement?

My council tax have also been raised 7% and I'm not living in liverpool. It's happening all very the country.
With all due respect I couldn't give a shiny one about your council tax, as surely anything over 4.99% had to be voted for via referendum? Which indicates to me that wherever you live people are happy to pay a few bob more to provide services.

Just for reference, I'm happy to pay the increase, providing something is done about the rats in our streets, the potholes that have caused considerable damage to my car and the lack of investment in social care.
