New Everton Stadium

50k with a running track, and potential to move the entire stadium to Kirkby is what I heard.

Seriously though, if there is the possibility that this stadium gets used for the Commonwealth Games, then we need to completely re-negotiate the financing, and the council would need to dig deep.

got to be bigger mate because I'm assuming they are going to want to have maybe 3/5k worth of corporate tickets so it wouldn't be much of an increase would it. 55k for the usual match goers and 3/4k corporate and that would be ideal imo

I would be happy with a total 55k simply for the fact it keeps us within touching distance of the clubs above us and makes us the biggest ground in the city which makes somewhat of a statement.

The fact is clubs down the line like Newcastle, Villa, West Brom, Southampton will all no doubt be increasing size in the future we need to be up there.

I agree with 55k. Liverpool will expand to 60k when they do the ARE but it will be akin to putting lipstick on a pig. A new high spec stadium in a regenerated Dockland location should make more in non match day revenue then Anfield will. I really don't care about having a few thousand less seats. 50-55k would be more intimate and the atmosphere less diluted.

I don't think Villa is coming back up any time soon, and the Baggies and Southampton would have to at least double the sizes of their grounds to get up to 60k. I think there are at most a dozen clubs that could support a ground of that size:

Man U
Arsenal
Chelsea
Spurs
RS
Man City? (jury might still be out there)
Everton
Newcastle
Villa (if they're not in the process of doing a Leeds)
Sunderland?
Leeds?

Not Sunderland. They have a 49k seat stadium and average 41k. They always have the lowest % seats filled in the Prem.

Utterly ridiculous...

As if they are scoring 1.

Even in our wildest dreams we can't keep a clean sheet against that lot.

No lads. This is all perfect. We have a 1-0 lead at half time. A few minutes after the 2nd half beings, they level things. Up until the 80th minute it's 1-1, then Everton show the world who the real pride of Merseyside is. We score 4 goals in the last 10 minutes of the game and absolutely destroy Scandinavian hearts.
