...and yet at the same time Anderson is telling Everton if they ruin their own stadium by sticking a running track in it they can avoid paying any money to LCC for a period.

How do they not tally? The Commowealth Games would bring in a huge amount of tourism £££, offsetting lack of Everton payments.

The government aren't giving the council enough money to fund services, so he is seeking innovative solutions e.g. BM, to come up with additional funds.

Glasgow City Council had to stump up £80M toward the costs of their Games in 2014. The legacy from such events is very iffy. When you're cutting council spending on essential services it's obscene to be making that outlay - especially on second rate no mark events like the Commonwealth Games.

FFS we have enough experts here to finance design and build the stadium with an invisible running tracks and for a fraction of the price and with a smile on our faces ( well except one poster. )

The thing that struck me about that Anderson plan for a running track is that the story wasn't carried by the Echo and neither has it been commented directly on by the tweeting architect. I think the club are leaving options open on the design and it's very much on the table. Useful idiots like Anderson are there to send up a flyer in advance of decisions to get supporters used to the idea, if that design "has to be" gone with.
