I don't need to re-read it, the sentence and it's point has been permanently (and disappointingly) seared into my brain.

You say you hate the thought of being relegated but then immediately imply it would be worthwhile if it got rid of the board. If your end goal is to get rid them, then I don't think you can argue that you are not saying relegation would be acceptable (if that goal was achieved). In fact, the argument is pretty much equivalent to saying "I'm not a racist but.." and then following up with a slur.

Anyway, I have absolutely zero interest in continuing this conversation but I'll say one last thing. If you can see positives in being relegated you should probably find something else to spend your time and energy on other than Everton.

There is an argument that a quick death like the one Liverpool experienced might actually force new investment. However it also doesn't always work like that. The problem with us is that we do neither.

Yes, but the report I was talking about was slightly different to the one linked to above and was presented to the club after Kirkby had fallen through.

I think a lot of people voted in favour of Kirkby, just because they were scared of the club being left behind the other teams in the premier league, in terms of facilities and earning potential. It's bad enough visiting teams like Manchester United and being Jealous of their stadium, it's unbearable to look at sides in the Championship with better match day facilities. Our stadium was once state of the art.

At the time Kirkby was the only option the club put forward as an actual solution. You can't call it a real vote, there wasn't an option to redevelop Goodison or move to a site inside the city on the voting form

It may have looked like a non-starter to them, but it all depends on what your motives are. If you look at any of the docs it is feasible. (Of course money is an issue, as it also is with building a new stadium)
