New Everton Stadium

When does Anderson leave the post?
For me this is the most important thing....i get the feeling that Anderson is trying to kick start this to the point that who ever comes in cant put a stop to it,Rotheram's election is Joe's worst nightmare but would never say it.

People can say what they want about Anderson whether you like him or not is fine but he is trying to help us,but make no mistake about it Rotheram is an arl arse who will definitely ask questions about the build when he's in power and will without doubt fall back on the support of that shower when he does and the going gets tough from Blues.

I think the deal is being taken for granted. Nothing in politics is forever, and any policy can be scrapped...especially one still on the drawing board.

Whats interesting is whether Rotheram will risk rocking the boat by calling it in? Me personally thinks he wont be as forth coming as Anderson to get it over the line,And as a Red will be under pressure to put some sort of block on it.And certainly wont want to be in charge when we open it for business. This for me is why Joe is desperate to stay involved within the city.

Anderson has been the driving force and now looks pretty weak. Others say it's gone beyond individuals now and that its city council cabinet policy and therefore solid.

I don't buy into that.

i agree he know he's losing influence but has created a situation for Rotheram that anything other than an Everton stadium will make him look like a Kopite saboteur.

To an extent but we are compromised in terms of rake in comparison to sides from other European leagues because of guidelines issued post Hillsborough. I understand Spurs are pushing these to the absolute limits so we will have a clear indication of where we stand next year

Also the horrendous decision to have huge gaps in the roof for the sound to escape. I'm not sure it's possible to design a roofed stadium that would be less atmospheric and leak as much sound as the Emirates.

They also made a big mistake with the areas behind the goals, I think they just went with the FIFA guidelines but pretty much every other stadium ignores them. So The Emirates has a 12m distance behind the goals to the stands where as with our new stadium it's 4-5m.

I don't think having three tiers helps Arsenal neither. The more the tiers the harder it is for the songs to travel.

One thing I noticed about Tottenham's is how high up the roof is to the last row of seats on that large single tier, do you think it might be a little too high?

The shallow rakes of the first tier are probably the major factor of the disconnect. I can't find the image but if you overlay our stand on theirs the steeper rakes make it so that the entire top tier is closer to the pitch than at the Emirates. That's a lot of people closer to the pitch.
