it wouldn't need to sell out every week. But against the reds, United, and semi finals etc we could get in 60,000 no problemI know that most people on here take great offence to any suggestion that anything below 60 would be too small, but in reality 60k would be too big.
All these 'sums' being put together about current capacity, adding waiting lists, adding away fans and then adding corporate seats on top don't hold any water.
Away fans are already accounted for in the current c.39k capacity. Its just about realistic to think we could sell 10,000 additional seats to 'home supporters' on a week in - week out basis. Potentially up to 12-13k.
The corporate seats shouldn't be just added on top of the regular seats. While it will attract some new people on corporate invites, a large amount of these corporate seats will be occupied by Everton fans who will be upgrading from regular tickets to corporate seats.
West Ham's new stadium boost is a nonsense. Its not based on regular and sustainable hardcore support, and the result has been huge amounts of empty seats and a crap atmosphere every week. Its only going to get worse too and its not just down to the stadium design either. Its too big for them.
Anyone thinking we'd sell out 60k+ every week is living in dreamland.
Somewhere 55-58,000 would be the ideal number in my opinion.
There's no doubt that the big games would sell out, but I think it's likely that the less attractive games would see lots of empty seats, especially if the team isn't doing very well.it wouldn't need to sell out every week. Our new stadium is going to be shaped like a brick? I don't know lads.Found it......
if there's ten thousand empty seats every week and they are all in the gods nobody will notice. we'would still be playing to fifty thousandThere's no doubt that the big games would sell out, but I think it's likely that the less attractive games would see lots of empty seats, especially if the team isn't doing very well.

RED brick = No for me

I'll believe it when I see it.
I'm not saying it's not going to happen but every time we get excited we end up making ourselves look daft. Remember last summer when we were meant to have 100m to spend and we ended up selling to buy.Why the doubts mate?
Its full steam ahead I reckon.

Why would I know that? I don't really follow the business side of things too much.Well thats probably for another thread, but it was widely known that we had to sell Stones to generate the allowance within the rules to allow us to spend. Not that it was a great window, but we didnt need to sell to finance transfers, we had to sell to finance/allow wages. Make a profit in other words.
But I expect you knew that.
