New Everton Stadium

If he wasn't a Yank (and seems like a nice enough guy) I would say, @davek , that you and a few others were well and truly trolled at your own game by Meis.
Why would he do that? He wants the job doesn't he?

Id say the days events went like this:

  • someone linked a power point presentation he did for Cincinnati's new stadium
  • it became known on Everton forums and twitter
  • alarm was raised about the shape of the thing (and amateurishness of it)
  • The Echo covered the saga
  • Meis was forced to elaborate on what he does and doesn't have in mind for a design
That was social media in action. A good example this time around.

I thought it went more like this :

  • The Echo yet again showed what utter clowns they are
  • People wet the bed based on The Echo being clowns
  • Danny boy piped down the clowns
  • the good guys won, AGAIN

They should definitely do this just to see the utter monstrosity that comes out of the process. Would be hilarious.
I saw far better badges on here from supporters than from Everton for the new badge a couple of seasons back.

Newsflash: the club we have are run by 'kin idiots. Time tells us that. Have some faith in your fellow fans, they are vastly more equipped to determine what a good stadium will be than that lot down at L4.

Dave, was only a few raised alarm. Most were frustrated that people were believing it was our new design.

Thank you for saving us David.

Thank you.

Yup, never works. Ever. I've worked on projects like that, where the "customers" are part of the design process and opinions of all are gathered. A recipe for disaster. You start out to build a fridge and end up with a microwave. Design by committee, always doomed to failure.
Customers for commodities are not fans of football clubs. There is a MASSIVE difference in the two group's expertise and knowledge about what is right and appropriate.

You are way off on this one.
