New Everton Stadium

its all pie in the sky mate.
Aye.
Moshiri a Billionaire who works for a lad worth 14 billion wastes his money buying 49% of Everton who have a crap stadium and no hope of real progress if they stay in Goodison
He then wipes 80 m of debt off the clubs books with no timescale to pay it back oh and it’s an interest free loan
Then his even richer boss sponsors Everton’s training ground , yes their piddling training ground to get worldwide exposure.
Then Moshiri arranges a 60 m overdraft with the biggest bank in the world ( owned by the Chinese government , who know a bit about buisness and making sure their investment is safe.
But Moshiri intends keeping his investment in a run down stadium that generates little or no real income and just messes around telling people we are building a new stadium.
With that line of thinking I’m surprised he’s not worth 20 billion

Plus the ground is only a small but vitally important part of the whole Liverpool waters project and that’s the real prize that Usmanov and Moshiri have their eyes on.
Moshiri could easily double his net worth on the whole project.

You and me both.
But rest assured it's not a facade and the club is serious about this project. I can't give you a timescale or anything. I haven't seen the plans myself. But I know someone who has.

I would say it's still early days but this is no pie in the sky project. Everton absolutely intend on building s stadium at BMD and are taking the methodical steps needed to make it happen.
You're just saying what people want to hear.

Just not progressing as far as I can see.

The worrying thing for me is that - what with the crisis on the pitch - the club usually switch tack to any available stadium scheme to point at to deflect attention. This time there's nothing.
I'd be more worried if some vapid and nebulous nonsense about the stadium to deflect criticism came out.

Having said that, too much silence about what is going on causes wild speculation especially when things aren't going right on the pitch.

Who'd be an Evertonian by choice hey?

I take your first point.

But as you say there is way too much silence on this scheme. To not have any solid info on this since April is outrageous.

I don't even think it would take a lot of information to make us happy. An update from the club's management now and again, preferably with something tangible to show progress would be take away a lot of my criticisms.

Haven't existing landowners been given notice to vacate the site?

And hasn't there been surveys undertaken ove the last couple of months?

Not sure what people are expecting. I'm taking no news to be good news, in the past we'd drip feed sludge to the masses to quell any questionning.

the more we get to see and hear mr moshiri the more and more I worry.

it is farcical to say the least.

hasn't learnt anything from transfer window 1 to transfer window 3

inept board still in place

he has absolutely ZERO communication skills - but thinks that is ok

he hasn't spent any of his own wealth. he has merely scuppered our own tv revenues and profit from transfer sales. the money he has injected into us will come back to him as shares or possibly paid back as a loan.

he seems quite excellent at covering his own back.

despite lots of talk, there has been nothing concrete regards the stadium since the council announced that we have the funding vehicle in place. this doesn't mean we have the funder(s) in place and this seems to be the hold up.
