New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

If there are 60,000 people shipping up to that area 25/30 times a year there will be retail opportunities

The point is not to take the retail out of the city centre, it is to bring people towards the existing retail. There maybe some local shops around the ground, but don't expect a John Lewis or Selfidges in/around the ground.

They are going to structure the public routes to encourage people to walk or get the cable car from town when possible on matchday, not drive their cars and fill their boots.

I wish they would be at least a tiny titbit on the stadium in regard to design.

Please just some iffy drawing of it with the lights on at night on the dock.

Give us something to look at please.

Correct. I don't know LCC's development strategy, but I imagine its the same as most others city councils. One of the main objectives will be to protect the retail core in the city centre and attract additional shoppers and residents to the CC. The docks will be seen as something to expand the city but also to complement the CC. Ten streets will be a unique concept. There will be probably also be hotels, bars and a small amount of convenience retail to serve the local residents and the people going to the stadium.

The Liverpool Waters web page for Bramley Moore says there will be something like 8,000 sqm of retail space around the stadium, but my guess is that this will largely be bars, restaurants and an Everton superstore.

Edit: Just checked 8,000 sq m of bars and restaurants. 5,000 sq m of retail in the Bramley Moore / Nelson dock area.

Yeah, the development has to complement the cities existing infrastructure and not compete with it. It's very easy for people to say empty docklands = huge retail/leisure opportunity but the city needs a lot more jobs to grow. There's a chronic lack of Grade A office space which will hopefully be rectified with LW.

As for a cable car?
