New Everton Stadium

Then in 15 years the RS build an 80,000 seater stadium or something stupid on Stanley Park where they can copy our funding plans from the CC. A horrifying nightmare!

Stanley Park will never be on the city sky line. The size of this stadium is NOT as important as it's location. It's not the size that is wrecking kopite heads, it's the fact that we will be in a prime position.

I dunno but at this rate Spurs will have moved before we start

There's no question we'll be in NWHL before you start. We'll be in the new stadium start of next season. If you reveal your plans NOW they'll have to go to planning which will take a few months, plus public consultations. Assuming that goes smoothly we're probably into June/July. Then you need to get a contractor on board and I've not even heard anything about that being tendered for yet. And that's assuming in the meantime the finances are in place. Best case is end of 2018/beginning of 2019 for BMD to start I would guess. Unless there's some basic site prep that can be done without planning consent.

EDIT: unless you meant moved again. lol Sod it, that is what you meant isn't it? Ah well, I've written all this [Poor language removed] now, not gonna delete it.

Stating the obvious, but has the old WHL gone already? Not heard anything in terms of mourning, must be a private affair. Don't think it will be like that with us.

It came down during last summer over about 2 months. There was a farewell ceremony after the last match last season...

...plus rainbow...

Everton given go ahead for Royal Liver Building office plans

Here’s a first look at what Everton FC’s new Royal Liver Building offices could look like – complete with boardroom and coffee bar.

The club revealed last month that it planned to move to the iconic waterfront building, which is co-owned by the club’s owner Farhad Moshiri.

Everton has now won permission to make changes to the seventh floor of the Grade I-listed landmark.

Plans filed with Liverpool council show much of the floor will be open-plan office space.

But two “pods” will be built either side of the reception area on the waterfront side of the building.

One will house a boardroom with a large round table, while another will host a coffee bar.

There will also be two rooms for “visitor directors” tucked inside the giant “buttresses” that run up the front of the building.

Quite possible they will try. I think they will keep extending what they have though.

My point is while we have the chance to build it bigger than their current one we have to take it, if England bids for a tournament I want our stadium to be used and not theirs. Something around 60k will give us that opportunity no matter what they do later on.

Can't see them investing even more on a new stadium - I think they've made their play and the continued redevelopment of Analfield is the decision. I am much happier that they are doing that then the proposed plan that they had under Hicks & Gillette. Remember my red uncle gloating to me about that - never happened. They can't fill that new stand now, probably because their pricing structure makes it unaffordable for local fans to attend regularly. Doesn't matter though - so long as the Danes, Chinese and Norwegians can get there - that is all that matters.

Looks like Farhad's masterplan for turning the city blue are starting to take shape. Being located in the Liver Building is a positive statement by the Board and the club.

Also makes me think that he is going to be here a while, the whole point of them moving the hq to that building on the 7th floor over looking BMD.

It's all about bringing in the big boys and letting them look at the train set and getting them empty their pockets to join in.

Agreed but 15 years is a long time. (that's what the original poster put that I then replied back) I think if they do spend another 60-70 million on the AR end then they have probably tied themselves in for the foreseeable, 25 years +. With their mishmash collection of sheds that would be great, but if they don't, then I could see them getting green with envy and at that point they will have a choice to extend or demolish and rebuild 3 stands or move and that could go either way, especially if FSG have left by then.

Rob we are talking Everton here ...... you will be in season 5 playing in your new stadium
We will be on funding model number 7 awaiting approval .....

I think the purpose built corporate boxes and the vastly superior media facilities plus the location alone would see the USM Dixie Dean stadium at BMD being the only obvious choice for WC,EC,CL and EL games

Said this all along
It’s the only possible reason Corestate chose a half share in the Liver building as their first and to date only British investment

..i’ve said for a long time that Moshiri’s key objective should be to make us the top club in the city. That might seem very short-sighted, but to enable this we will have to be more successful than them on and off the pitch. If we achieve that (as we did briefly in the mid-80s) then the rest will look after itself.

I don't know for sure but FC big stand will probably have more corporate seating now than what we will have. I think you are right location is a key sell but at the end of the day it will be how many bums fit on seats, if ours is 50k and theirs is 61k then they will use that. If ours is 60k then I think that swings it back to us, even if they extended up to 70k it doesn't really matter as there is only so many people that will pay to watch the step under the world class teams (& England :p ) that will be playing at Wembley and the other big grounds in London. The biggest games in the north will be played at Old Trafford I would imagine.
