New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Yeah it's very odd. I understand not blocking the cathedrals from the river but when it comes to disused, derelict docks you'd think any stimulus would be welcome. Granted one of them is getting filled in but so has the original pool of Liverpool, the three graces sit on what was once Georges Dock while the ACC is on what was once Kings Dock so there are precedents.

Anyway....

Cant see any possible reason he would do such a thing, very rich people dont get very rich by paying things for themselves.

Almost certain it will be paid for by a loan or more likely sponsorship or something else similar.

Cannot really understand all that UNESCO business. Did they complain about those skyscraper hotels built just half a mile away or the arena not fitting in with the general architecture of the area!

  • Lack of overall management of new developments
  • Lack of analysis and description of the townscape characteristics relevant to the Outstanding Universal Value of the property and important views related to the property and its buffer zone
  • Lack of clearly established maximum heights for new developments, for the backdrops of the World Heritage areas as well as along the waterfront
