Very tedious waiting on stadium news in the internet era when a refresh of your screen has you expectant for the next update that just isn't there. Should have built it in the late 1800's when we might have been away at sea exploring new lands and getting only the occasional batch of mail with news of the new football stadium at Bramley Moore Dock, and the sailor cries of 'Where tf are we gonna park the ship when we get back'.

My point is just press refresh every 6 months or so in this thread.

does anyone remember the clubcall line? I'd ring it on a daily basis from work trying to find out if we'd signed anyone boss

A quick method for the club coming up with the money for the stadium. All they have to do is find a horse that is 50,000/1 to win and put down £10,000 on it.

What about these rumours Elstone is leaving because this project has failed due to escalating costs?

Elstone as many have said appears small time and what's escalating costs really when you say £300m for example risen to half a billion, it's not escalating costs it's getting with the programme. Costs at all these big projects are high. If the club wants a fantastic state of the art venue we have to pay up.

Elstone had to gauge our fan potential based on sell outs every game last season. Totally clueless. If it goes t!ts up he's a big factor. None of this leaving Everton now at a "sensitive time" in the BMD project, the club needs to get people in to make this happen, and fast.

Yeah, it's all getting rather painful. Hope begets despair begets hope begets...repeat!

I understand these things take time but it all smacks a little of clickbait and each time BMD is mentioned we all eagerly tune in only to come away none the wiser.

I, for one, am no longer holding my breath on this ever happening. There just seems to be a feeling of incompetence and wholesale inertia surrounding the development but l will happily be proved wrong if or when we get the green light and it's all systems go. Until then....meh!
