New Everton Stadium

Everton were going nowhere without Farhad Moshiri and some of our fans seem to have forgotten this when they're quick to have a go at him. But until he actually delivers on this promise, fans are right to be cautious in giving him too much praise.

If he delivers us a 55K+ stadium down at BMD then he will have been a huge success for that alone and will have given the club a new lease of life.

The toilets and the corrugated iron outside the ground look a lot better now, even that is more than Kenwrights ever done.

But what about the pot holes?.
In the echo that something abar another council meeting... and the comments full of rs fans having a dig. Honestly hate that club and there fans so much me. Friendy derby my arse hope they all get chlymadia the rats. I include all my mates in that as well they're all bellends
And the echo mods are removing nearly all posts from everton fans and keeping the moaning rs fans comments.

My maths says we'll be getting 9k in the new stadium who aren't ST holders, corporate/premium or away fans, and a lot of that 9k will be sold to members who aren't ST holders. After that there will be very few tickets left on General Sale which tourists can get hold of.

Our average attendance at Wembley has been 68k (the best supported club in Europe).

Yeah, I'm bragging, but my point is I think our two clubs are pretty similar in terms of size. Assume the biggest difference is corporate (sounds like you're looking at 5k for your stadium compared with NWHL's 8k) and the magic number is 59,000. So 55-60k would be where I'd be aiming for, below that and you'll really be putting the squeeze on non-ST members, nevermind worrying about tourists.
Would you agree Rob that 5-8k of that 68k are people going to a game because its at Wembley, the home of football

Why can't them bitter bloos pay for their own stadium?
They are.
Well why can't they just leave the council out of it?
But they're going to be handing over millions every year and generating loads of new jobs for the city.
Bet it'll be a crap stadium, smaller than ours.
Nope, it'll be in a prime location with a higher capacity.

... whatever, Five times, istanbul!

I know but this explains all the talk of a lower capacity seeing as we have to pay for all of it. Don’t mind smaller capacity as long as it’s no less than 55k and we can expand in the future

That Twitter link doesn't explain anything new.

It means that eventually we will be paying it all, which was always the case. As far as I am aware though, the plan is still for the Council to lend us £280m initially until we pay it off over the 25 years.

Havnt lived in Liverpool for some 20 years now. The amount of opposition from the rs supporters has shocked me tbh, the stadium creating jobs and the rejuvenation of the surrounding area plus the extra money for the council should surely be the desired outcome for anyone living in the city over and above a football rivalry ffs.

Just plain petty and sad.

Did we stand up when they took away our rights to fly kites? No.

Did we stand up when they took away our rights to walk our dogs? No.

Did we stand up when they took away our rights to moor small boats sailing out of North Wales? No.

But can we idly stand by whilst they rejuvenate the area, create employment, a reason to visit the area and generate income for our underfunded council with a new stadium sensitively designed to add value to our world heritage status in this underutilized part of the city in what is frankly a decrepit dock that no one else was prepared to touch with a barge pole and possibly kickstarting the renaissance of the Liverpool? No comrades, this mustn't stand!
