New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Assuming of course that there would be any need for a teams match going fans. The only progression of the European Super league would then be to take the games abroad. Uniteds home games may not necessarily be played at Old Trafford, but rather a stadium elsewhere in America or India. OT may get to host Real v Bayern or something like that. The grounds that the clubs own are more of a drain on their resources than something to create wealth. It would make more sense for Liverpool to go 50% on an 80k gate with United at a ground they pay nothing for than it would to get 80% of a 50k gate that costs them a fortune to maintain.
This could be why Liverpool where happy to build the big stand thinking long term rather then blow 500m on a new stadium that they dont need or wont need if this league comes off.

I doubt that many match going fans of the English clubs would want it that much either.
No i dont think they would, but i dont think the clubs would be bothered, Liverpool certainly wouldn't, if they had the choice they would also happily take home games on the road to China and Brazil if it means more money coming in

azaaa

But Man City wouldnt be playing any other English teams if they are in this Super League...it would be the everyone else minus the top 4 or 5.

Yes, I know. I was using those 2 sceanrios to illustrate the point that a European League might not be as exciting as some think compared to the Prem

Im not in favour of it btw.
However, which would provide the largest audience?
Brighton v Burnley....Huddersfield v C.Palace or
Man City v Real Madrid....Juventus v Arsenal ?

Honestly - Brighton v Burnley and Huddersfield v Palace.

Give me a proper English football game over any European stuff.

The competition became null and void in 85 and has remained like that ever since.
I find it immensley boring, but I am probably in the minority.

They money would filter back when they buy our players, thing is fans watch the league they play in, no one apart from wools would buy to watch that super league stuff

Just a thought - if the clubs resign from their respective FA's as I believe the story suggested they would then there is no jurisdiction to stop them from simply taking players without transfer fees by offering them massive wages to walk out of their domestic club contracts. Only jurisdiction will be the civil courts, possibly FIFA if the Euro Super League allow themselves to be governed by them but why would they?

See im like this, I've never watched "E Clasico" or any European games unless there is a English team, really is of no interest, this season I have enjoyed watching Forest, Leeds and Derby on TV, been entertaining footy how it was when i was a kid

Whats the global audience figures for those games?

Im proper jealous of Spurs stadium it looks boss inside and out.

Really hope we do something similiar and don't make it look too wacky to go with the whole dock site.

Im hoping the use of brick compliments alot of glass as Im not a big fan of old school brick stadiums we need to be modern and slick.

A mix of granite brick and glass could be spectacular.
