New Everton Stadium

Don't know what the hell you all expect.
If, and it's a big if, these are true renderings of an outline for our new stadium it'll do for me. Have any of you been to Goodison lately and seen our ground? I know a lot of got members are based all over the place and seldom get to the match but this would certainly eclipse what we have now.
Yes, it has no history with us for now but that only comes with time.
Likewise it may not be the best looking stadium in Britain but who the hell cares. It's what happens on the green bit that counts believe it or not.
Turning your nose up at this because it's got twenty less seats in than you wanted or it doesn't fit in with the skyline or some such thing you need to give your heads a wobble.

There's two major things this stadium will have 1. It'll be brand spanking new and 2. Waterfront location.

As for the 'I don't like the way Everton is emblazoned on the end of the stand crap?... wtf do you want it to say......erm.....we're sorry to those on the cruise ships coming into the port of Liverpool but this ground is not fc bigstand it's lowly little everton who dared to build a stadium here. Please accept our apologies and a shuttle bus will take you to see the rs ground after you piss against our statue of Dixie.

Get real you knobheads. We are Everton. The more Everton is emblazoned all over this waterfront the better......I would like the crest there to btw. The last thing I want is for those visitors to mistake our ground for anything else so put Everton as a running banner alll around the ground so it can be seen from the city side as well as the waterfront.

End of rant.

Except all you usual naysayers take a effin week off will you and stop putting the club down at every available opportunity. Not that I believe you are all true blues anyhow.....yeah ban me....

No matter the design, a portion of our fan base won't be happy
..ah, I was expecting it to reflect the shape of the stadium. We’ll see.

Mr Eggs, I think you're completely right.; My mistake!

I'm not really a hater of the design but I wonder why with a blank canvas that is the best they can come up with.

I am a hater when it comes to the 'Everton' name being sprawled across the end of the stand though. In world football how many stadiums can you think that have the club name in letters that big? It is tacky. This usually means the design is lacking so something is required to fill/hide/distract.

I would much prefer if it had two club badges on the edges. However you would then probably see clearly behind that apart from the top it just gives a view of the back of the stand. The real issue here is why the ends are orientated that way, the lower 2 tier stand should back up to the nelson dock allowing people inside to see out to the city and from outside to be able to see the inner 'bowl' like most American venues that have a window.

Think that's the (personally I find quite cringey) name being given to that end, like Dortmunds yelloe wall.

There's a much more obvious reason he was tweeting about a blue wave in the weeks before the midterm elections. I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with Everton, but the bloke's a tease so he's got loads of people thinking it is.

What’s the general consensus? Will a new ground at BM happen or not?
I think everyone knows what's likely to happen.
The people that think the stadium is going ahead are the same people who were expecting usmanov to be here by now.

The club have slow balled it enough to keep people interested until the agm casts doubts over the deal in January and Brexit is the final nail down in the coffin

Elstone stated at the last AGM he was at - gist - if the money gets too silly we will have to walk away.

Interesting to read Barrett Baxendale interview with Business Post where sge states BMD will be a '"City Regional Development project not just a football caoex project".
Sime funding from somewhere?

He's seriously clutching at straws here. The project involves regeneration of the immediate area as well - which will get publicly funded.

To think the stadium is getting tax payers money is quite far fetched.

And why has he attached the metro mayor to his tweet?
Because he's a weirdo. As bad as that poster on here who always tags Davek
