New Everton Stadium

Meis said at St.Lukes that the last 5 or 10,000 seats in a stadium are the most expensive because you have to increase the infrastructure accordingly. Also he said the site is very tight , so don't expect the top figure for capacity. I'm expecting 55,000 max. I grabbed a very quick chat with him ,he's sound ,not an attention seeker as some would have it. If he'll stop and speak to an arl scruff like me he's ok I reckon.
I think your correct in that it wont be 60000.

...Meis must be restricted in what he can communicate because of the governance process but I suppose if he kept totally quiet then folk would complain. I get the impression his messages are cryptic to let fans know something is happening. It’s all a bit of a tease but perhaps it’s better than nothing.

You are entirely correct.
Despite a lot of people wanting to know everything instantly , consultations have to be exactly that .
If you blurt it out in advance , then the process is flawed..
Imagine our lovely neighbours response then.
Let due process flow , and I am sure that Moshiri and the club , will finally deliver what we need. !

A stadium will have to go through vigorous planning consultation, then permission, the club might well have an agreement to buy the dock/docks, but any purchase will be subject to obtaining outline planning permission. Therefore any announcement will be after that outline permission is obtained.
Imagine the fume, if like the old regime would have done, they announced an all singing and dancing world class stadium 'On the banks of the Royal Blue Mersey' then it all fell through when planning permission was refused.
Once outline planning permission is obtained we will get our announcement, then it'll be about stadium design, placating heritage objectors, mainly RS I'd guess, etc etc
A magnificently designed stadium with a roof in the shape of our badge, illuminated at night so everyone flying into Manchester and the country sees us, what a statement!
I dread a flat pack 'The Bill Kenright Stadium' at Stonebridge Cross....But I'd still go!
Come on Everton make this happen!!
This chap knew all along

The floodlights will be in the image of that well endowned fella in the hat doing the rounds in whatsapp chats around the world. The light will shine out of all 3 eyes, the japs eye will only be used at night time.
