New Everton Stadium

Didn't I read that the commitment to hold NFL brings with it quite substantial amenities that need to be housed on pretty much an entire side of the stadium? It's quite simply never gonna be accomodated in any north west stadium as it isn't worth the concessions.

Literally one half of NWHL is for the NFL, different changing rooms and everything, pretty nuts tbh.

The reasons are purely financial. They can charge more per seat if sold individually. It's quite common already at quite a few clubs. You need a core season ticket base to maintain atmosphere & demand. Which gives you the flexibility to increase revenue from the rest of the seats.

I'd fully expect us to introduce a similar cap.

In our (Spurs) case I'm not to sure that's the reason?
Here is I think why. I'm guessing that we have an average age of our supporters of about 50?, I'm 55 and have been going regularly since the mid 70's, like many of my mates who also have season tickets.
This is because for the last 20 or so years we have had a stadium with a small capacity of 36,000 and as it was sold out for many years I think we may have missed out on a generation of supporters cos the younger generations would have to wait forever to get a chance of seeing the team play regularly.
I think Spurs have left the door open for more general admission supporters so that this doesn't happen again?
I could be wrong as to why but I'm not wrong about our average age group being old like me :-).

I wasn't quoting that in itself NFL is a good thing for every team to have and if you look back a couple of pages to what I wrote and to who's comments I quoted, it was more in reply to one quote of something like
"Another soulless bowl full of tourists, No thanks" when he/she replied about what he thought of Totnam's new stadium.

I don't know the figures, but I would suggeste we have a healthy about of younger support. Despite the mismanagement of the last 3 decades, the sale of vastly reduced tickets and season tickets meant we don't have much to worry about on that score. Indeed, the new stadium could see us improve on those numbers.

I know it London prices but spurs ground is costing North of a billion..
So far we have an agreement with the council to lend us 240m

Our new ground will be more like Colchesters than spurs

Spurs could have sold thousands more Season Tickets but have decided to CAP the amount to around 43,000 so that members/supporters who can't afford a season ticket will still get to see games.

No to hosting NFL. Why not if it brings in extra money (and having the retractable pitch will also allow for the option of hosting concerts and even more income.)
Nobody knows hhow good the stadium is gonna be but you both sound like little kids putting something down cos you ain't got it!

They held back because a lot of those those 17,000 or so would be more likely to spend money in the Spurs museum, superstore etc
