New Everton Stadium

Spurs' attendance for the Southampton league game was 33k.

Thirty-three thousand. In London. 43k for Cardiff. Though it's not their stadium and they're growing tired of it, the football's been almost as good as it's ever been for them and yet the numbers are still that low.

They'll get bigger crowds at the new WHL, but it's worth considering for anyone who thinks 52k is too small.

It's out there...

I'm sure it was said at his consultation days

Can anyone confirm please
If he did say that can he not change his mind?

At the time of the consultations, I think Frank is right in saying that Meis said something along the lines of: with the size of the land it would be pretty difficult to expand once built. But he changed his tune today.

“Our design and engineering approach will give us the potential to expand in the future. This will be done if and when we are at a stage where it is financially viable and fits with our key principles." - https://www.peoples-project.co.uk/e...ity-of-52000-with-potential-to-rise-to-62000/

I knew he had said similar.

Surprised he's changed his tune to be Frank!

Yes from what I remember he pretty much stonewalled the idea. However he might have been told he was designing a 60k stadium at the time, therefore the site wouldn't have allowed any room to be significantly expanded, but with a low 50's it could be.

What? Hahaha their ground is already 60k and was built about 5 years before they rented it, and Pellegrini is a washed up corpse.

I agree something stinks. And it doesn’t come from directly within the club either.

West Ham literally don’t have their own football ground and got into bed with the Tory party to get an athletic stadium on the cheap.

But yeah, it’s us that’s doing things wrong.

Good point.

So we've downsized from the original plan so that we can upsize in future.

God this club is so so annoying

I think safe standing works on the same basis as having a seat.

What they do is they have specialized seating that can be converted into a barrier in an area where people want to stand, but works on the same basis and attendance of having a seat.

Its not like it was in the 80s with everyone just milling into a terrace, you stand at your seat.

Safe standing can still increase capacity, dortmund stadium holds
81,365 when they have safe standing and
65,829 when it's all seater. So in a row where you have 10 seats there would e space for 12 people to stand
