New Everton Stadium

Very true. The murals are what you'd expect to find in a one-club town, not one as split as Liverpool. Surprised actually that no Blue has taken retaliatory action with a tin of blue paint yet.

Our fanbase has completely beem worn down by Kenwright & Moshiri.

Mark my words we'll be 8-15th for the foreseeable future as the fans have given up. Just look at GP these days the atmosphere is dead even when we score you dont feel the same buzz around the ground.

Well cheapest seat is misleading, its the cheapest adult seat, concessions brings the price down to 20 quid.

But ive just had a quick look and the only tickets available on New Years day are obstructed view, so 42 quid to watch a game behind a post is very expensive.
Given Everton’s recent performances,I would have thought that the seats enjoying an obstructed view would be priced at a premium...

I think you have to be careful not to double count.

If we're saying that there are 10k on a waiting list then chances are a whole bunch of them are already attending games currently on a non ST basis.
Added to that - if given the opportunity how many of the '10k' could afford to stump up £600 - £700 in one go?
Certainly not all of them I would think.
Being a blue you should know we have a very decent direct debit scheme to purchase season tickets .

It is, which is why people saying we used to get 70k+ are living in the past, in those days it was affordable for everybody, these days whilst we are cheap compared to others in the league, 42 quid is still a considerable amount of folding to most people.
True enough, In the 60s I funded my match going with a sunday paper round.

£42 to have a post in the way so you can't watch the game, that would have been a bargain under Allardyce.

Lots of numbers and figures and guesstimates in that article eh Lou so it's tough at this stage to see what would make most sense financially.

Hopefully we find out in the not too distant future

A well thought out and presented analysis IMO. In the absence of firm direction, it is as good a reasoned assessment as anyone could make. Interesting view from one of the TW follow up posts that USM steel division will drive down costs of the build. Quid pro quo being they get the same contracts for all subsequent Peel developments in LW. High rise buildings, in particular, being heavy consumers of steel frame work, floors etc now.

Yep I read that post in the comments section.

Not knocking the article btw, im sure a lot of folk will find it interesting reading but for me it's an article full of assumptions and guesswork (not that there's anything wrong with that)

I applaud the esk's central position on the need for greater capacity - the need to keep down the burden of cost on fans in repaying and servicing stadium debt. I'm still of the opinion though that the settled on capacity will be larger than 52,000 (probably nearer 55,000). I cant see it being less than DK's proposed capacity, as that would be a source of embarrassment.

It's clear though that the club will have to work the facility hard and bring in a lot of non-football events. And they weren't factored in. A BMD facility wouldn't face the same event-license restrictions, presumably, that Anfield does right smack bang in the middle of a residential area, and the proximity to the city centre would make it a draw transportation-wise. It's clear LFC see that source of income as the key for the next period of their stadium development.
