I'm confused as to when he changed his mind from 'Moshiri is the lord and saviour - things will never be the same again lads, you just don't appreciate it coz you know what I know' to being a doom merchant about our financial state.Doesn't he spend most of his time shouting about how fans are never kept well enough informed.

So you want us to be amongst the greatest clubs on the planet on the field... but you are asking for realism with the stadium. Hmmm. There has to be realism. The realsitic option for Everton would have been to carry on the redevelopment started under Johnson. That divvy started the move bandwagon and it hasn't stopped rolling.
I tell you this though: if/when BMD goes west like all the others, after the disappointment has abated there will be a massive surge to rebuild Goodison. Those old Ward-MvHigh blueprints will be getting the cobwebs blown off them and the KEIOC redevelopment plan will get another airing.
This is the last new-build proposal this board will bring to the table ever. One last shot at it.
Juve say hi with their 41k capacity.
Would you rather build a huge 70k stadium on the East Lancs? There may be many reasons the capacity has to be 55k, not all coukd be because Moshiri wont spend extra £££, but i'd rather have that in an amazing location than a 65k seater somewhere else.
Do we have any reason to think that's actually possible?I'd rather have a 60,000 stadium at Bramley Moore
Do we have any reason to think that's actually possible?
If not possible then should have bought more land.
Did that for nearly 20 years travelling up from Worcester Park and later from Crawley,, I still bear the mental scars of the M25 mate
There will be no major redevelopment of Goodison regardless of whether BMD goes ahead or not. It will not provide the increased revenue to justify the expense. There has to be realism. There are 3 main inter-linked stumbling blocksDo we have any reason to think that's actually possible?
There are 3 main inter-linked stumbling blocks
The disproportionate cost of the last 10,000 seats from 52k to 62k...at least so we are told.
The ability to fill 62k more than 2 or 3 games per season.
Given money borrowed has to be paid back - the will/ambition to find the extra cash to do it
I think somebody said the footprint was 50% bigger than GP. Anybody confirm?

With nearly full houses every game we turn people away every other week. And turning people away from a 52,000 stadium is preferable?
