New Everton Stadium

Doesn't he spend most of his time shouting about how fans are never kept well enough informed.

SMH
I'm confused as to when he changed his mind from 'Moshiri is the lord and saviour - things will never be the same again lads, you just don't appreciate it coz you know what I know' to being a doom merchant about our financial state.

Maybe it was after the plans for BM weren't revealed in Nov 2017 as he predicted. He suddenly turned like Daenarys on the back of a dragon.

There has to be realism. The realsitic option for Everton would have been to carry on the redevelopment started under Johnson. That divvy started the move bandwagon and it hasn't stopped rolling.

I tell you this though: if/when BMD goes west like all the others, after the disappointment has abated there will be a massive surge to rebuild Goodison. Those old Ward-MvHigh blueprints will be getting the cobwebs blown off them and the KEIOC redevelopment plan will get another airing.

This is the last new-build proposal this board will bring to the table ever. One last shot at it.
So you want us to be amongst the greatest clubs on the planet on the field... but you are asking for realism with the stadium. Hmmm.

There will be no major redevelopment of Goodison regardless of whether BMD goes ahead or not. It will not provide the increased revenue to justify the expense.

Do we have any reason to think that's actually possible?
There are 3 main inter-linked stumbling blocks
The disproportionate cost of the last 10,000 seats from 52k to 62k...at least so we are told.
The ability to fill 62k more than 2 or 3 games per season.
Given money borrowed has to be paid back - the will/ambition to find the extra cash to do it

And turning people away from a 52,000 stadium is preferable?

I think somebody said the footprint was 50% bigger than GP. Anybody confirm?

To clarify, I mean in the north to south axis it never seems a huge space to me. It's not massively longer than GP although clearly the overall land package is far bigger.

Rubbish
If they can justify spending £600+M all at once they can spend 4 lots of £100M spead over say 15yrs.

There are numerous strategic benefits of a waterfront location over any expansion we did to Goodison. These are surely obvious. We could have the best stadium in the world but if it’s right next to Anfield then the city day trippers won’t give one. Being front and centre on the docks is potentially the first time in decades we may have outmanoeuvred them.

With nearly full houses every game we turn people away every other week.
Nobody knows how many...or how few
Historically, the odd special one off games not included, we sold out 2 - rs and Untd.
I've looked at the figures, you pick any season and see.
